Ok, lets try and use common sense. Would you rather be a LB coach at a major program or would you rather be a head coach of a small time school?

Not only would you be making a higher salary as a head coach, if you succeed and turn around the small time program, you will move up in the coaching ranks.

I am not aware of a coach saying it was an upgrade to go from coaching linebackers to coaching the Idaho Vandals! But I agree with that statement.
