I posted this in a reply to one of KC's threads, but wanted to get the opinion of those who may not have seen it:

Thoughts on a 3:1 4 teamer

Seattle -3
New England +9
Indianapolis -3.5
Carolina +9

I know I know the proverbial 'teasers = bad idea' - but for some reason I tend to have decent luck with them in the pro's. The only thing that scares me is a 6 pointer leaves a lot of crucial #'s out there, that a 7 pointer could take care of (ie -2, +10, -2.5, + 10); however 3:1 sounds a lot better than 2:1 !!

Interested on thoughts?

If you feel strongly I would suggust doing the teaser and adding a parlay as well. Just a thought.

I'm guessing a push is a loss on your teaser...so i would try to get below those key numbers of 3. Also, 3 and 7 are consider the main key numbers I believe, but when playing the dogs in the teaser i try for 9' or 10' because those could be considered sem-key numbers in a way

i find best to tease games that are predicted to be real close. for example - i find was/sea could go any way - the skins caoul play it close, or could win outright - or the seahawks could blow em away.

i personally like 7 point teaser carolina +10 and under 37 - both touching key numbers.

good luck!

A push on one leg of a 4 teamer - changes it to a 3 teamer; 2 pushes changes it to a 2 teamer, etc.

With that being said and responding to puckfan - I feel much stronger about carolina, colts and pats than I do about the redskins -- i can't say i'd be completely shocked if the redskins pull it off. While I don't expect it, there is just a lot of question marks on this game. If their offense shows up, I think that have a legitamate shot. However, I think we do need to keep in mind history of the divisional rounds -- as mentioned in many posts, these teams earned these byes for a reason, and usually show it this week.

I do feel that Carolina and Patriots may not fit the current mold - however, for different reasons. I definitely have respect for the Broncos, I just feel like that Pats are hitting on all cylinders at the right time. On the other hand, the strong Carolina play is as much of a disrespect for Chicago (when referring to them covering a -9 spread, in the aforementioned teaser) as it respect for an impressive playoff tested Carolina bunch.

Nice, any push with my local and its a loss...its sounds like you're getting the teasers treated like parlays which will save you in a few I would imagine

The only reason the Bears and Seahawks drew byes is the fact that they had the good fortune of being cast into weak conferences and playing weak schedules. :s1:

The weak conference and weak schedules earned the Seahawks all of those Pro Bowl selections.......aren't they lucky ???
