Greetings to all you Mad Jackers. It has been many moons since I have visited or posted here, and it is good to see some of the "old-timers" still posting, and the new guys too.l:00hour

I have had success over the years using a "teaser wheel", and for those of you who are interested, I was 17-5 last week using Seattle at home +1/2 or +1 depending on the opposite side.

In a teaser wheel, in its simplest form, you pick ONE game as the "HUB", and you bet both sides of every other game, using the hub as one-half of the bet.

In this scenario, always remember you MUST HIT the HUB game, the worts you can do is 50-50. Many games end up within 7-12 points, and you would win both sides in that case.

As stated last week I used Seattle at home. Two other games qualified as a "hub" IMO, and that was New England at the Jets, and the Steelers at Cleveland. Went with the Seahawks as the stongest play. Last week for example:

Seattle +1/2 and Buffallo +10.5
Seattle +1/2 and Denver +3.5

Won both ways.

Seattle +1/2 and Titans +14.5 won, but the JAGS minus 1.5 lost.

I have modified the simplistic system this year, leading to doubling the bet on the Steelers, and not taking the Browns, who have big offinsive problems.

I also doubled the Pats, avoided the Jets, but took the over 34.5 in that contest, which covered easily.

If there are 16 games, in the original theory, you would make 31 bets. Remember, I am using the theory that many of the games will be close. The blow-outs you still hit one of two, and lose the other.

And I must caution that the HUB games I pick usually only occur 3 - 6 times per year. I do not bet this every week. What I look for in general...

1. Pick good defensive teams at home...
2. Pick against a team with a bad quarterback situation
3. In the modified system, double up on the better team and omit the other.
4. Pick a "rivalry" game, such as this weeks match-up with the Chargers and Pats. Both teams have something to prove, and this game could go down to a last second FG.

Last week, I also had as possible HUB games, the Steelers at the Browns, and New England at the Jets.
Went with Seattle, as they had all their weapions back, home opener, and Tampa had to travel cross country, usually leading to a bit of jet lag.

If you are going to try this, I suggest doing it "on paper" for a week or two. There are NO HUB games this week. Two years ago, I did 5 wheels, winning 4 weeks. I am also thinking that you could do a "double wheel", using both teams in a particular game - for instance PATS-CHARGERS today. One of those teams has to beat the teaser, and if it is a close game, both will hit. Is this a "Cant Lose" situation? I have not run the numbers, but I would at least use two or three different on-lines to try this theory out...

One last point. Start your betting nice and early, for betting all those games online takes a lot of time...

Good luck to all....:00hour

Best Week Two Teaser sides/totals

Best Week Two Teaser sides/totals

1. Steelers/Bills OVER 30.5 - Bills down 3 or 4 defensive players, but should generate some points

2. Bengals [Pick] - another blow-out with a new QB for the Browns.

3. Panthers +1/2 at home

4. Falcons +13.5 or 14. The Falcons can run the ball on soft Jag Run Defense which gave up a lot lastweek.

5. Rams/49ers - OVER 37. Not much D at the dome...

6. Packers +4.5 - possible HUB game - why are the Giants favored. Only because they are thje second heaviest bet on team, and not because they are better than the Packers

7. Raves - 3.5 or -3 - Jets looked terrible last week at home, and will find it hard to score anything agains the Ravens

Arizona - AVOID - this line is very strange line, and should be Seattle -6 or -7 IMO...
