would a dvd from australia play on our players? Or is it formatted differently in different areas of the world? Thank you for help...

it depends on your dvd player, some only play specific region dvd's some play all

you would have to list your dvd player, I would probably do a search in google for more info on your player

Heard back from Aussie distrubuter...here is scoop.....No it?s not compatible sorry.

You would need a multi-zone or Australian release zone 4 DVD player to view this disc,

Rather than a standard American release zone 1 DVD player.

Apparently there is more to it on foreign release discs than meets the eye...

If you have a DVD burner in your computer you can make a backup the DVD and remove/reset the region code. The link below provides step by step instructions with screen shots and has the names of the freeware you will need to do this. It also includes compression to make any DVD fit on 1 disk. I have used this many times and it works great.
