Some folks here are not as old as I am. Your world with cancer will come. By the time you reach 50 you will have 3 close friends or family fightng this posion. I believe Ted has tried to do what he thinks is right for all of us. I hope he wins his battle. I have watched my wife battle for 11 years. And lost a very close friend. So to those who want to make fun. Well??????

Hedgehog, nice post. I appreciate your opinion. We probably don't agree on most issues, but these situations bring common attitudes to the forefront that most of us have - regardless of left/right - blue/red - whatever.

very sad indeed---the tragedies this family has suffered.
--would be curious if Clint or any of our physicians had any input on this--but my experience with clients daignosed with this is once they start the treatments they go down hill fast --of course might be that they would have anyway--but from what I've seen I'd opt to go as long as I could while feeling decent without treatment--now if operatable--entirely diff story.

some cancers are now very treatable. It really matters when the cancer is found (at what stage). I've seen some brain tumors removed successfully with full patient recovery, and I've seen some that die within weeks or months that never woke up from the surgery. There have been great strides with cancer treatment, but it's still a horrible killer.

like I said, unfortunately knew it wouldn't be long before somebody posted something crazy.

Say what you want, I know many don't agree with Ted s politics. But it's not all the common for multi millionaires to work tirelessly and continuously for Those who don't have as much, or have problems. Whether you agree with him or not, even those against him speak to his continuous work and efforts for those not as fortunate. I'm sure he has the money to have quit decades ago.

And I don't care what anyone says, to continue serving a country, after watching your 3 older brothers killed while serving it, I'm sure wasn't easy. Whether you side with him or not, to continue that dedication and desire at age 76, is admirable.

going to agree with you Sham on most points--

One thing about Ted--He wasn't in politics for the money--while I might not agreed with many of his positions--certainly can't fault him for his tireless efforts in fighting for his beliefs--and despite being one of most liberal senators--few have crossed party lines as often as he to try to work with other side on serious matters.

A monster is someone who lets a woman trapped in a car underwater asphyxiate rather than save her. And then uses his political connections to escape prosecution.

Easy Ted, Easy Ted, not much longer til he be dead!

Sweet.
