WELL, STILL LICKING MY WOUNDS FROM LAST NITE. I STILL REALLY CAN'T UNDERSTAND THAT OFFENSIVE GAME PLAN BY MISSISSIPPI.....

ANYHOW, FOR TONIGHT. YES, IT IS NEVADA'S HOME OPENER. YES, NEVADA CAN DO SOME FREAKY THINGS ON OFFENSE. FACT OF THE MATTER IS, THESE TWO TEAMS DON'T BELONG ON THE FIELD TOGETHER. MIZZOU IS SOOOO FAR AND ABOVE BETTER THAN NEVADA. IT ALMOST WORRIES ME THAT THIS LINE IS ONLY 7.0. I THINK I WOULD FEEL BETTER IF IT WAS ACTUALLY AROUND 13. I THINK MISSOURI WINS BY THREE TOUCHDOWNS......

MISSOURI -7.0

GL tonite. Was not going to play but why not you have intrigued me. here are some stats.

The Missouri Tigers and the Nevada Wolf Pack will both be gunning for a victory on Friday when they meet at Mackay Stadium.

Oddsmakers currently have the Tigers listed as 7?-point favorites versus the Wolf Pack, while the game's total is sitting at 62.

Nevada was knocked off by Colorado State, 35-20, at Hughes Stadium in Week 3.

Colorado State covered as a 5-point home underdog while the final score played under the 58-point total.

Current streak:
Missouri has won 3 straight games.
Nevada has lost 2 straight games.

Team records:
Missouri: 3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS
Nevada: 0-2 SU, 0-2 ATS

Missouri most recently:
When playing in September are 10-0
When playing on turf are 8-2
After outgaining opponent are 6-4
When playing outside the conference are 10-0

Nevada most recently:
When playing in September are 4-6
When playing on turf are 5-5
After outgaining opponent are 3-7
When playing outside the conference are 4-6

A few trends to consider:
Missouri is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games
Missouri is 7-2 SU in its last 9 games on the road
The total has gone OVER in 10 of Missouri's last 13 games on the road
Missouri is 10-3 ATS in its last 13 games on the road
Nevada is 17-6 SU in its last 23 games at home
Nevada is 1-4 SU in its last 5 games

Next up:
Missouri home to Nebraska, Thursday, October 8
Nevada home to UNLV, Saturday, October 3

From what I've read, Mizz is looking towards Big 12 championship. They need to impress with wins, which means this game means a lot to them. (basic stuff I know) They are looking to use this game as a tuneup for conf play, they would like to open up the playbook a little and see if the team can handle the more complicated plays. So I gather they are not looking to run vanilla offense.

It's hard to say......you would certainly hope not. You would think they would know better....all they would have to do is ask Oklahoma, USC and Mississippi about looking past an opponent....but you never know...

I had to sneak the neighbors cat's in here to lick my wounds

where exactly were these wounds? hehe.. Ole Piss looked like the team they have been in years past. I thought their bigger RBs were doing fairly well early, but their passing game was so inept it all dried up. Jevan Snead looked like a freshman - not feeling pressure, throwing into doubles, generally being a douche.

GL tonight T. I agree with you on Mizz and will be tailing you.
