Last week I bought a Samsung UHD 4K 43 inch for my bedroom. I got a good deal on it at Best Buy, and I have the 60 inch in my living room which has been pretty good, I got that last winter no problems. So I set it up yesterday, and noticed a red dot in the middle of the screen, which can only be seen when the screen is black. Anyone know what this is? 22278885_10210690708207163_1865442359_o.jpg And would I be better off calling Samsung and getting a technician, or bringing it back to Best Buy. I will enclose a picture of what it is doing. Thank you for any input.

web search seems to indicate a "bright pixel"...sometimes called a dead pixel..

Samsung tech maybe able to help...if it's me it goes back and I get my cash

will tell my own opinion of best buy for what it's worth...

they ain't much for warranty.....that bad boy goes to shyt in 45 days you are shipping it to Samsung to get fixed..is my guess

no better place and price to buy electronics than Costco if you have one near by.

90 day no questions asked full refund....

you ain't happy..bring it back..

that ain't happening at best buy...

Electronics: Costco will accept returns within 90 days (from the date the member received the merchandise) for Televisions, Tuner-Free Displays, Projectors, Major Appliances (refrigerators above 10 cu. ft., freezers, ranges, cooktops, over-the-range microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers), Computers, Touchscreen Tablets, Cameras, Aerial Cameras (drones), Camcorders, MP3 players and Cellular Phones (return details will vary by carrier service contract).

  • If you require technical support or warranty assistance for any of the products

Great advice, and Costco doubles the warranty up to 2 years, and if you use their credit card its an additional 2 years

imo, it's too big for a stuck pixel, it looks like an backlight / actual backpanel warning led.

reset to factory settings, unplug, plug in and reset again if it doesn't go away contact seller.

i hope they sort it out :0008
