Good Afternoon! First playoff game - let's hit it!

As we all know Baltimore has owned this Tenn. team. The Titans only have four losses this season and those for the most part were against great teams (Indy and New England). Titans are averaging 240 yards in the air and the stingy Balt defense gives up 175. You can not run on this Balt. defense and Tenn. will have to utilize their tight end as well as setting up the screen play. Baltimore with Jamal Lewis can run all day against the average NFL team but this Titans team only gives up 81 on the ground. I see this Titans team giving ALOT of trouble to Anthony Wright and in my opinion Wright will be eating grass all day long.

My Pick: Titans -1.5

On a side note: I also like that Hammerin Hank (ESPN) likes the Titans. I have been listening/following to him all year long and have profited from it.

Good luck on you your plays.
Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

Baltimore's defense is simply filled with studs. Playmakers all around. McNair will win or lose it for the Titans.

very undecided...

very undecided...

been flip floppin' on both sides which usually tells me to pass...seems like the public is all over Tenn, but pay services are all over Balt...

thinking and leaning more towards the UNDER...

I'm with you!
Titans played a tougher schedule and won some games that Balt. couldn't.
All things equal, this is McNair vs. Wright.
I'll take McNair.

I agree with you that McNair will either lose it or win it for them and that is one reason I am betting on the Titans. It's a totally different game but that is one of the reasons I bet on Eli Manning (Ole Miss) yesterday. McNair is a winner and he will not lose this game. I just hope Tenn doesn't win by just one.

In my opinion, I would not bet the over/under. With these defenses you don't know how many turnovers they will create or what kind of field position the defenses will give their offense. If anyone decides to play the total - good luck because I have no idea how you can handicap that in this matchup.

I am also going with McNair. I do like the under due to the defs. I see it as 17-10 Tenn. Since I am a Steelers fan I really want both teams to lose. At least I get one of them to lose.

Thoughts on Line.

Thoughts on Line.

If the line is moving to Tenn-2 yet the popular play appears to be baltimore, humm, I think I a well rested McNair, and the Tenn, defense will be ready. I kind of disagree on Billick, playing full blast last week vs. Pitt.. I can understand his thinking but....
Like the Titans, along with Gibber 1, Edge, Jeff, Garden Weasel, Senor, and Ank Ank.... We shall see..

have been a titans (fka oilers) fan all my life, since the days of pastorini, earl the pearl, billy white shoes, etc. from my perspective, i never play on or against the titans, b/c personal feelings get in the way.

that being said, if i were to play todays game, i would back the ravens. too many trends go against the titans today. billick seems to have mcnair, etc. number.

i lean to the under as well, although titans are 5-3 over on the road this year & ravens are 5-3 over at home. this is the playoffs, as the commercials say & ray lewis, et al, will come to play today. they bounce my titans from the playoffs, i feel.

oh well, good luck to all

Good to hear from you Lance. Strange question - but what are the local newspapers in Tenn. saying? Is the city positive about this game? Any info (if any) is appreciated.

Tough call on the total I think...like you said Ank, could be a lot of special teams/defense opps.

GL Again!

have no insight into the local flavor. i live in texas (for six more months), so i have no daily access to nashville media. six months from now, i will be making a job-related move to nashville area, and will be the proud owner of titans season tix (part of my reloc package).

and i hope i'm wrong about today. just a gut feeling i have.

You are right about the total, Tenn is going to try and get an early lead to take Lewis out of the game, may lay off the under.

Good luck cappers. The line has gone to 2.5 on some sites. Glad I got it at 1.5

HAHAHA - treat him like OJ. You are right. They really do promote him but the NFL doesn't care about the players personal business. They just know that he is one of the BEST defensive players out there. It "hurts" saying that knowing I bet on the titans and am a browns fan - :) Take care.
