Owens has no bargaining power. Rosenhaus is making a mistake advising him to holdout. He has a better argument for Javon Walker holding out. Walker has at least honored 3 years of his contract.

I think nether of them will get a new contract. As much as I agree that if you sign a contract you should honor it in football they can cut you tomorrow. Now that why football has big signing bonus unlike other. I agree with KB Owens just sign a new contract he is an ass. Walker on the other has not had his big contract and is one of the best young receiver's, but Green Bay will not pay him if he is not in camp.

He is doing what's best for his family. The ESPN Radio says his son doesn't even live with him. The kid lives with the un-wed mom.

Colin Herd is right, he is using the " Family Card" making him the biggest phoney around.

:mj07: :mj21: 49 MILLION NOT ENUFF

Are Falcons on T.O.'s wish list?
Owens says he wants his status resolved, hints at trade possibility

Knight Ridder Newspapers
Published on: 07/22/05
PHILADELPHIA ? Terrell Owens made some of his strongest statements to date about his contract situation with the Eagles, saying "it's not going to be a good situation" if he has to go to training camp under the conditions of his current contract.

"I want something to be rectified and we can just move on," Owens said on a Comcast sports network in his hometown of Atlanta.

Asked about comments made by team president Joe Banner that indicated Owens and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, are a problem for the Eagles, Owens said the team should trade him if that's the way it feels.

"If he wants to talk about Drew and I ... if we're problems, then I feel like we can be adults about it," Owens said. "Trade me, release me, and we can just part ways like adults. Not to stir anything up, but I don't really have to play for the Eagles. I can go play for any other team and still be productive. If he feels that way, then get rid of me."

The Atlanta-based questioners asked Owens whether he'd like to play for the Falcons, and he warmed to the idea.

"If Joe Banner can give Drew Rosenhaus permission to seek a trade, then ? who knows? ? Atlanta might be on the list of people I can play for."

Rosenhaus said Wednesday that Owens hadn't made any decision about reporting to training camp Aug. 1 when the Eagles veterans are expected at Lehigh University. But his latest comments are a clear indication of how unlikely it is that he will join his teammates on the scheduled reporting date. Owens knows what will happen if he does not report.

"The next thing they're going to hit me with is a bunch of fines, so they can get into my pocket," he said.

Under NFL rules, the Eagles can fine Owens $6,000 for every day he is not at camp.

.........................................................................

Lets see if Owens misses 30 days of sweat in August, thats
180,000 dollars. Tiddley chit.

Owens will be in St Martins relaxing waiting for the season to start.

I would love for the Falcons to get him. It really would be spark to the Falcons offense big time. Just the threat of him will take the double team off of Crumpler.

Shouldn't happen though. If I were the Eagles owner I would let him sit out the season. I would not trade him or cotton down to him. His ego would quickly bring down any more talk of more money while under contract.

Guess his family needs are more important than any old football.

After hearing TO's ridiculous Jesus comment followed by his even more ridiculous family comment, I really hope the Eagles don't give in to him. In fact, I hope they ship him off to some crappy team so he can be "unhappy" for the rest of his career.

The ATLANTA owner says he wants nothing to do with Owens.

Philly should cut his ass outright and tell him to phuck-off. :sadwave:

Somehow i suspect this imbecile will end up on Dallas.

But really , he needs to sent to The Mistake on The Lake. :mj07:

Sending him to Dallas would be beautiful....him and Me-Shawn together. Would the two of them even let Julius Jones touch the damn ball??

MAybe Kellen can teach him how to do wheelies on his new motorcycle. Then maybe we wouldn't have to hear from T.O. for a year or so.

ESPN RADIO reported that ANDY REID had a meeting with OWENS today which culminated in a difference in opinions and in REID asking OWENS to leave camp and come back next WEDNESDAY...

There seems to be some suspicion about # 81 's injury.

anyone thinks this guy gets traded??? i say he goes to Ravens.

So will TO show up next wednesday ready to play some football .
apologize to the team, start practising with the team, stop feigning injury so he don't have to practice, stop asking for a new contract, respect Coach Reid, etc.

Stay tuned.

Got to think it affects the team and how they will do this year.
