TEXAS at BALTIMORE 1:05 pm EST

Rangers and Orioles are set to play Game 1 of a doubleheader. Hellig, who has been inconsistent to say the least, gets the start for Texas facing rookie righthander Douglas getting his first start. Baltimore has not scored more than 5 runs in 11 straight games, but here they face MLB's worst pitching staff (Rangers allow 5.71 ERA per game) and one of the worst bullpens in baseball. Hellig has been horrible on the road this season -- with a 1-6 mark and ERA over 6 runs allowed. Rangers' games are notoriously high-scoring as 7 of last 10 and 11 of last 16 games have produced 11 or more runs total. Although both clubs are having trouble scoring runs, I expect at least one (if not both) teams to break out of the slump here and break what appears to be a fairly low total of 10 -- given a new starting pitcher and Ranger's weak pitching. It's also humid (with scattered showers) in Baltimore today which means the starters will probably not last over 6 innings. I recommend a play on the OVER at -110.

Another late recommendation I have is LASK (Linz, Austria) playing Braunau in European soccer. LASK is laying -200 and should win the game easily.

Yeah, LASK was a lock.

I'm sitting here waiting for another run on the TEX/BALT OVER however. They looked like they were going to crush the total (9 runs by the 6th), but now it's going to be tight.

(sing) 1-0 to the LASK, 1-0 to the LASK, 1-0 .... guess you have to be an Arsenal fan to understand
