what everyone have at the half?:mj07: :mj16: could this be the worst game of the bowls? :142smilie I hope MAck Brown retires after the game and takes over as the AD. He needs to be fired for this performance, no motivation or care at all by his team. I would blow an ass gasket at the half if I was the coach, come on Mickey Brown break something at the half and motivate these pussies

I dont excuse it but reality is this is what happens sometimes in bowl games to teams that feel jobbed or blew their shot in last regualr season game. I dont believe for a minute an unbeaten Bama loses to Utah. Or remember Cal in the Holiday Bowl against Tech when they lost out on the Rose Bowl, KState in the Alamo Bowl after losing while ranked No 1 in Big 12 title game, Texas v Wazzu in Holiday Bowl and on and on.

20 year old kids are gonna be dominated by emotions and Texas doesnt have diddly to play for. I thought they would show some fire to prove something but it clearly isnt there and Brown is clearly coaching this game more for letting the Seniors play than the best players.

Texas-5.5 LARGE

I think Texas opens it up bigtime in the 2ndH.

McCoy has a quiet 199 yards passing right.
Mistakes have cost them while OSu has relied on the big run to get into scoring positions.

It has nothing to do with motivation or walking through the motion. They haven't played a real defense all year, and are for at least 1h the lesser of the two football teams. Maybe they'll come back in the 2h, but it has nothing to do with lack of effort, it has to do with not being as good as the other team. For texas to be even mentioned as national title contenders to this point is a fraud.

And while you're at it, please secede.

Part right part wrong. The effort the coaching and the play calling simply isnt there. It has much more to do with motivation than you care to concede. It sure wasnt a greta Ohio State D that got shredded in 30 seconds before McCoy thrw his worst pass of the year.

And while secede wouldnt be bad - though the entire nation would be better off without California - a better choice would be to execrise the right to split into 6 states. Have 12 senators and really control things.

:142smilie :mj07: :142smilie This is exactly what the local sports radio guys were talking about today. If Texas loses their fans will be saying that it was a letdown because they weren't in the NC game, and if they won they would be saying I told you so, we should have been in the NC game. Texas still has the chance of being crowned AP National Champions, if they lose it is because they were the lesser team and not any of this other B.S. that is being thrown out there.

Ridiculous...but your fnext informative post would be the first. They could win by 50 tonight and have no chance at the AP title. Thats just BS by people trying to make it as if this game has some import. Texas could win by 50 and would probably finish behing Utah, much less finish first.

I'm fine with 3 states in general.....california, texas, and the rest of the country.

i haven't watched enough texas football to assess as you have their performance and i'll defer to your opinion.

we always get along, it was just more a jab at the most worthless poster in the history of mj's.

gl and hope you win the game

I wish we would and a huge earthquake hits California at the same time and makes Vegas the shoreline:sadwave: ;)

Yes, because it is your 12 year old persona to wish bodily harm on people.

Go try and get Bush another 4 years or maybe jump in your hemi with your sawed off double barrel and go to Flordia and start work on the Jeb Bush 2012 campaign.

I dont think Utah deserves it but wouldnt mind them getting it if it caused the system to change. Unfortunately we know they wont and it wont.

So because Utah won then this game now doesn't mean anything to Texas. What if Utah had lost, oh wait... some old excuses from Longhorn fans.

The Texas problem all year has been the lack of a quality running game. We can make a good defense look great because we are so one dimensional. And we dont use our deep weapons so a team like OSU can "cheat." Whitaker is our best back but bc he is a frosh Brown wont give him the snaps. When you consider how we carved up OU its why you know Florida should walk all over them.
