it`s going to be very interesting to see how smith melds with kaepernick.....smith is a bit of a nne trick pony(he`s a good deep threat,no doubt) and imo,kaepernick may havs regressed a bit over the last year or two.....
I`ve wondered whether Vernon davis is just an underachiever or is his underwhelming career(compared to his astronomical potential that has gone somewhat unfulfilled for the most part) is more due to the 49ers not having the qb to take advantage of that talent......still,to be fair,anquan boldin`s stats have gotten better in frisco since leaving Baltimore...
49ers had injuries last year,no doubt...but if you look at that roster,it`s about as talented as any in the nfl top to bottom....

gw, there are reports that the Ravens are very hot for Andre Johnson, but don't want to trade for him....
They will wait for him to be cut by Houston....
that would be interesting.....would be in keeping with the recent front office m.o. of drafting young defenders and filling offensive deficiencies with castoffs(and although long in the tooth,johnson is still a bit more than your average castoff)......
works for me if they`re willing to draft a young wideout to groom...
I wonder how many more times the front office will hit a trifecta like smith sr,forsett(shocking year by any standard) and owen daniels......our front office is living dangerously...these geezers aren`t always going to turn back the clock.....
The Ravens have a terrific front office so I wouldn't worry if I were you....
they are consistent but they`ve also made their share of mistakes....you just don`t hear much about them(ozzie/eric decosta criticism is off limits here in b`more).....
