Is Peterson going to play? High ankle sprains usually take WEEKS/MONTHS to heal.

It will be very very interesting to see how Texas plays IF the breaks go OU's way in the 1st half or 1q. Does Texas fold? I would love to see that happen and see how real this Texas team is.

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Peterson?

Peterson?

Watched game vs Kansas St...he went out grabbing ankle early in game, tried brace on, did not like it.... had 58 yds, he sat out...think this sets up well....Oklahoma beat up a poor K State, Bomar said "game was fun" we will see how much fun it is next week.....looking for a drubbing here. Mack brown is a clown, but even clowns have a day. GLTA

OU's offense actually played better with Peterson out last night. Most OU fans think it is because Chuck Long has a tendency to use Peterson as a crutch, dulling down his play-calling.

I may be a biased OU fan, but 12 points seems WAAAAAY too high in this game to me. OU still has talent all over the field, and Bomar is getting better. He had no fumbles or interceptions last night.

Also, OU's strength, run defense, plays right into Texas' strength. OU's secondary is highly suspect, but only against precision passing. And though Vince Young has improved a little bit this year in that area, he's still pretty raw.

think i will grab a bit of OU at +14.5

they should at least keep it close unless Young has great accuracy

I just dont see Coach Mack blowing ol' Bobby out as OU although down has as much talent but a bit younger

did the TO's in the 2nd and 3rd Qtr. of the OSU game earlier this year show anything? those short fields they were handing them were quite a test in my opinion.

I think I know what you are getting at and agree that in years past a bad break here and bad break there (especially in the OU game) would cause the team to start letting it slip away. I honestly believe that this team has taken on the persona of vincent young and he simply refuses to lose confidence, no matter how bad some of the bone headed plays he makes are.

watch the tape of the OSU game where he is walking up and down the sideline encouraging the rest of the team when they were down in the 4th...the kid is a gamer.

I agree that 14 seems a bit high...couldn't watch the OU game last night, but did see TCU, Tulsa, and UCLA and understand that Bomar seems to be gaining confidence. I think the Chizik might throw some things at the youngster so it should be interesting.

hornsfan, I think Texas will win the game. I just think 14 is too much for this game. Way too much.

can't say i disagree. however, i do know this will be the first year in a while where I don't go to the game with a wager on OU looking at it as "hedge"...usually bet on OU to make me some money...if texas would win, best money i ever spent.

Vince Young pass efficiency rating is 161.73.
66% completion rate. 7 td's in less than 4 games played (since he sat out part of ULLaf and Rice games).

against a very good OSU defense, he stilll completed 63% of his passes, 270 yds, 2 int's, 2 tds. not too bad. i wouldnt consider his game winning 30 yd precision pass to Limas Sweed in the OSU game as "raw"...?

i guess everyone has their own opinion. VY still has improvement to make as a passer, but i think he's past the "raw" stage, IMO.

Good stats to support your opinion but how many of those completions were short passes? How many of those completions were 10+ yards downfield? I have only watched 1 Texas game this year so I don't have a general idea. Completion % can be skewed. Is VY a threat to throw down field?

I share the same opinion as OKD and have 2 units on OU +14.5

Middle??

Middle??

Have Tx -12 taking ok+14' -115...will make decision at half....
if Tx is smoking them(who knows at this point) Mack WILL run it up after the embarrassments of past blow-outs, the Tx fans will expect no less....

saw Kansas state game, and they were horrible, no running game...not sure Bomar is going to be up for the madness, Peterson probably not much of a factor with nagging injuries...not sold on OU secondary at all. GLTA

Texas will blow them out.

You wait and see.

This OU team is one of the most overrated teams in the country.

Texas 44-20.

I dont know how a team can be the most overrated team in the country, when they are not even ranked in the Top 25.

Mack Brown will find a way to keep OU in the game. He is scared of Bob Stoops.
