Playing the half instead of the game for a few reasons:

* Backdoor covers are a bigger issue in conference tournies. Coaches will start pulling starters for rest with 6 minutes left if they're up by 20 or so, and with OU's ability to hit meaningless 3's in the end I won't take that chance.

* Texas is fresh and ready to go. Coming off one of their worst defeats in recent play to K-State, they should come out focused and with attitude. Also, OU shot 23% in the 1st half against Nebraska.

* Last but not least, the Horns know this arena well. Texas fans should hold the decisive edge with the semi home court advantage. A strong showing should keep the players motivated and go into halftime with a 10+ point lead.

Another thing for you 'totals' players:

I would lean to the over in this game (128) simply because with OU playing without Brown, they lose his defense and rebounding. And since he didn't do much scoring, they may be even better on offense.

I have a general rule against betting on Horns but I do like them here. Big rival and the frustration of last 2 games will play into this, not to mention the "energy" OU used in coming back last night.
