Texas/Arkansas thread

would like to hear some of you T-sips thoughts on this one....and also any Arkansas expert.....how do you think the hogs will be able to run the ball and stop the run? any athletes in the 2ndary able to run with UT wideouts?

I really like Arkansas Hogs in this game. I have been watching Jones mature at QB for several years now. He is kinda like Van Pelt in that he makes something happen out of nothing.

I dont like them switching QBs and I know nothing about the other QB. Hopefully he is a good downfield passer as that is Jones weakness.

14 points is alot of points and I think the Hogs will keep this close.

Interested to see comments on this game. I havnt seen either team play yet and usually I don't wager on it in that situation.

Freeeze...No one is giving the hogs any respect this year due to the letdown in the SEC championship and the bowl game last year...............But I believe this is a very good razorback team...maybe Nutt's best since he has been head coach, my only concern is the defensive line but he secondary should be strong, I think it will be a close game with the chance of an upset....Good luck with what you play

freeze...this may have already been said...but from what I've read the Hogs may have one of the better secondarys in the country...and, from what I remember, they have always busted their backside to beat or play Texas tough...and have been fairly successful at that.

This team is legit....

They started slow but then scored 66 points in 2 and a half quarters. I dont care who they are playing that is impressive

As for Arkansas always playing tough against Texas, the Longhorns are 8-3-1 ATS last 12. Texas is 14-5-1 ATS last 20 after a bye, Nutt/Arkansas terrific as a dog (evidently against everyone EXCEPT Texas) at 19-9-1 ATS past 29 (Steele's trends).

The one thing trend-wise that does stand out to me, is the Texas number after a bye, when I look ahead and see that they have Rice and Tulane coming up before Kansas St and Oklahoma weeks. The Longhorns should be supremely prepared and focused on Arkansas this week.

I don't see Arkansas being able to pass much against the athletes in the Texas secondary, and a turnover or two if behind could make the cover difference here.

Not sure if it merits a play, but mine would have to be Texas or nothing here.

There is a rumor going aroun Arkansas that Matt Jones injured his hip and groin at practice on Wednesday. It was supposedly reported on a radio station and had gained steam on the internet. I obviously do not know if this is true or not, just FYI.
