dr Freeze please

It was you that had an OU label in football season right!! So you did not go to a school, I undestand the old university crush. We see it all the time, let me guess you are an OU football fan and Ku basketball fan, no your an absolute joke.

Our basketball team is as good as anybody's. I do not think you have a clear cut team that is better than anyone else. The tournament is going to come down to who gets hot. I like our chances as we play great d and have a ton of depth.

It is not that I do not see the problems as it is there are problems with every team.

Get a life and a GED and then maybe you can bash the orangebloods.

you have been playing with your steer too much to say you are as good as anybody.you lose to a k state team that loses 93-52 to the umkc kangeroos .as a casual observer i can say for many years tx football with mack brown will never come close to oklahoma and be lucky to keep up w/ k state and nebraska.in baskets eddie sutton has less quality players and does more.don't think kansas is too worried about tx basketball.yes year in and year out you can be in top 20 in both sports but neither barnes or brown will put you at the top.

they are missing more than tj. this crew is too deep and too talented. i will accept criticism for that statement. there are so many guys on this team. i love to watch the horns. love all of the seniors. however, thomas is a great rebounder - nothing else. boddicker looks like the college version of dan majerle - 3's or nothing. klotz is a very good player, but i think buckman is a fundementally better player. buckman needs more minutes. mouton is outstanding and ivey is a def demon. tx, to have ultimate success in the tourney, will have to reduce some min of thomas/boddicker. increase buckman's and if they don't go inside than the primary shooter should be mouton. jmo be interested in the reply of the texas' fans here.
This statement was pretty much dead on. The only thing I would add is that Buckman's minutes have declined due to poor play. His freshman campaign was better but he has not stepped up his game this year as anticipated. Very good analysis however.

I for one do not think we're a top 10 team. Yes we have the talent to beat inferior teams but we do not possess the type of player who can dribble penetrate like we had last year. That's obviously our glaring weakness but our seniors have to step up and take over the game. Regarding Saturday's game, let's face it, every team has their off days and the coaching is not always perfect but we still trust Rick Barnes with this program and it is only getting better (3 McD's All-Americans coming in next year).

But let's stop beating around the bush here. Dr. freeze and the likes get hard ons when Texas loses at anything. They always have to somehow incorporate our recent football failures whenever the basketball team does bad. Moreover, he's an OU fan for football season, KU for basketball, and Baylor for baseball. WTF is that all about? You shouldn't even have a say in the matter.

But I guess when you have the best sports program in America, the haters will follow. BTW, we've never had any tradition in basketball, so you can all save yourself some time when posting the "Zero national championships" rationale.

In fact, most Big 8 fans would like to see the Texas
schools find a new conf. When was the last year
time one of them won the NCAA in FB or BB?
LOL. take a wild guess which school generates the most money in the Big 12? They need us, we don't need them. Get a clue.

lmao I actually go to UT right now fellow longhorns...

i can say anything i want about them and my favorite teams are the same since childhood and if you knew anything about demographics in the old Big 8 you will find a pretty large area that roots for OU in football and KU in basketball

The state of Texas, like most other states, has one single flagship, state university. In our case, it's the University of Texas at Austin. It is the biggest school, it has the most broad-reaching degree programs, it has the best overall academic ranking, the largest endowment, the largest alumni association, the best athletics, the largest research budget, the highest-ranking student body overall. Is this the school you are referring to? I didn't think so. Nice try.

no its called South Central Kansas in the 80's....Kansas football was nonexistent and there was apathy in the state for football....you were either a Husker fan or Sooner fan....but you lined up with KState or Kansas....Ro Blackman and Mitch Richmond were at Manhattan in the glory years but Danny Manning was my hero

guess what Monk.....my tuition goes straight to Austin...lol....there ARE graduate programs affiliated with the school ya know lol

I don't care where your money goes and I don't care how you try to slice it but you DO NOT represent UT, The University of Texas. Your school is UT-Houston or wherever it is you go.

also, it's funny how in one thread you praise UT, saying you would put money on them against the likes of Gonzaga and St. Joe's but in this thread they suck dick. Which is it?

um

um

unfrickkin' believable. As a native Texan I'm used to podunks from Nowheresville, USA hating on Heaven, (otherwise known as Texas) but seriously. In the Kst loss, the victors made more fouls shots then Texas even attempted, in the Okkiest game the victor made twice as many free throws as Texas even attempted. In fact Texas didn't even get their first charity toss til about 22 minutes and 30 seconds had elapsed in the game. In Texas' loss iowast, they made free throws then Texas even attempted. The kentst-ohio game had a similar quotient with kentst losing by 1, even tho they completely owned the game except for the fact ohio made more free throws then they even attempted. In the stanford game, which they lost, only ONE SINGLE SOLITARY STANFORD PLAYER SHOT A FREE THROW. Number of fouls shots taken by standford? 3. Number taken by their opponent? 30. These are unmittagatible facts. The PAC-10 has to live within rules, just as the BIG-12 has to live within rules. Even tho the only "good school" in the entire conference is the Unversity of Texas at Austin, with many noble prize winners, and academic honors galore, coupled with the academic prowess of the school. It is essentially, the best place to attend college in the world, and yet still, there is a tremendous anti-Texas bias. Is St Jospeh's better then Duke; is Stanford worse then Duke?? There is bias eveywhere, even in the objective world of win/loss records. Why? Becuase of the understood bias in determining the "objective" part. That is to say, bias on the part of referees. As a gambler you need to be aware that yeah, Mack Brown sucks, and yeah, Barnes is a bozo, but Texas bball is a great team in a game of horse, with no refs.
