now that's the biggest misstatement that i have ever READ.

the officials were so blatant in Texas techs favor that it was like they were told . Don't let Mississippi get to New York. the officiating was an absolute joke in Texas Techs favor. I drove 260 miles to watch the game and saw every missed called. Texas tech got away with numerous walking violation and i stop counting on the no calls when they went over the back to rebound the basketball. And what about the intentional foul on Holloway that wasn't called before overtime. also 2 missed goal tending calls against Texas tech. Mississippi CLEARLY BEAT TEXAS TECH AND THE OFFICIALS.

Take of your OLE MISS Glasses.
Tech was up 9.
They called 2 touch fouls and 1's in a row.
Tech got hammered on the last shot going to the rim and got no call. If that was OLE they would have been on the line shooting to win the game.

KING I am not an ole miss fan so i dont have to take off my ole miss glasses. i was covering the game for a friend of mine that needed my help. But I am a S.E.C. man and know the s.e.c well.

It was obvious who was wanted and needed in New York. And it wasnt the Ole Miss Rebels. It was Texas Tech coached by the son of the General Bobby Knight.

Corley I dont think Mississippi will or should win the NIT. Un less there is an injury that takes place, I believe the winner of Daytion and Illinois will win the NIT. Both teams present matchup problems for Mississippi.

These are uncharted waters for the Rebels... Unlike State who didn't give two shits and showed it... The Rebels want to make the most of what they have in front of them... I could be wrong, but I like Ole Miss to win it all

Just so we're clear, I'm glad Tech lost because I could care less about the NIT and I'm glad the season is over for us. But you made the statement that it was clear who they needed in NY. If that was the case it would have been easy for them to call the foul on the last play and that would have gotten them what they wanted, right? I didn't think the calls where bad either way.

how is it uncharted waters for Mississippi since they were in the finals of the NIT 2 years ago.

And if you think MSU didn't want to beat
N Carolina then you are in denial. the Hump being sold out was plenty proof that the fans certainly wanted to win. MSU has a problem of not playing well against bad to mediocre teams and playing way above their heads against decent to very good teams. They have done it all year.

State wanted to beat UNC... but they didnt want to be in the NIT... I watched both games of the NIT and there was just no fire... The Hump was sold out bc UNC.... the defending National Champions... was in Starkville for the first time... Ole Miss made it to the final 4 of the NIT 2 years ago?

do you think Mississippi didnt want to be in the big dance. up untill the final day of the conference tournaments Mississippi was one of the bubble just as Mississippi state was. why would MSU not want to be in the NIT and Mississippi want to be. I am postive that both teams had visions of the NCAA Tourney and not the NIT. Hey do you really think N. Carolina wanted to be in the NIT anymore than MSU did? If you are saying that MSU lost to N.Carolina because MSU didnt want to be their then you are once again in denal. I assure you Ncarolina didnt want to be in the NIT.

Ole Miss knew they were out when they got beat by UT... They had to win to get in... It was simple... UNC did want to be in the NIT because they knew that was the only postseason play they could get... MSU left everything they had on the floor against Kentucky... Please stop trying to make a case against me... I know MSU very well having watched them play all year long... and still have friends that go there that talked to Ravern Johnson and Kodi Augustus... They said the team didn't care that much about the NIT... It is simple... Ole Miss knows nothing about being in the Big Dance since they hardly every make it... MSU was looking to build off last years team since they had everyone coming back with the addition of Renardo Sidney.... But Sidney didnt get to play which hurt us depth wise along with other injuries...

how can a team with MSU history not care about a tournament it has never won? It's not like MSU goes to the NCAA TOURNAMENT every year. Last time I checked Mississippi went to the the sweet 16 several years back. When is the last time MSU did that? Wasn't it like 15 years ago.

How many times has MSU and MISSISSIPPI been to the big dance in the last 15 years? i think you will find that MSU hasn't been that many times more than Mississippi has.

i agree Mississippi knew it was out when they lost to Tennessee as you should agree that MSU knew it was out when it lost to Kentucky. Both teams lost their way out of the NCAA tournament with their last loss in the S.E.C. TOURNEY.
My argument is that Mississippi didn't want to be in the NIT any more or less than MSU did.

why would any MSU fan think that the NIT tourney is beneath them?
And that they didnt even want to be there.
