The deafening roar of the large crowd is heard
300 miles away in Norman Oklahoma

The crowd stands and shout in unison ...

Boomer, Sooner ! ... Boomer, Sooner !

The Sooners rush on to the field from the dark bowels of the stadium. Gladiators of the first kind, beloved heros they are.

Soon they will be trying to take possession of the spotlight they so cherish.

If this team can win and claim this victory,
homers they are at 58-2.

The smell of victory surrounds the crowd.

Suddenly, a hush comes over the stadium as a white cloud decends and hangs over the football field.

The Sooners are dumbfounded as a black and red figure appears from afar. The earth shakes as the horse hooves pound the ground like a bass drum.
Shimmers of black and red are seen.

At first , the Sooners don't seem afraid, and stand their ground.

The battle has begun. Weapons have been drawn.

Time wears down ticking to the last five minutes. The sooners look to be capable to knock the caped rider off his big black horse and send them back to Lubbick.

The sooners soon realize that there is something different than before.

Defeat is out of the question for this horse and rider .

Confidence reigns supreme.

Their time has come. It is now.

They cannot be denied.

The sooners step back receiving blow after blow.

There is no where to run as they face their fears head on.

The crowd roars in pleasure as the sooners fight to the last breath.

The masked Red and Black rider has now reached
the Sooners line of defense in a full force gallop.

Loud thunder is heard from above.

Suddenly the lights go out and the stadium is thrown into darkness.

All that can be heard now is the silence of the wind, in the brisk, cool air of Norman, Oklahoma.

The smoke turns black. It spreads into the stands, and covers the city like nothing before or since.

As the smoke settles, the lights come back on blinking bright ...

Behold ! There are the beloved sooners.

Lined all up in a row on the fifty yard line.

Tied the fawk up and duck taped in black and red capes. They all have distinct white bags over their heads with the initials TT flashing bright like stars in the night.

The crack of canons are heard...

BOOM !!! BOOM ! BOOM !...

The Sooner crowd jumps up screaming.

No ! No ! No !

This is not happening. This is not real !

The dark rider slowly turns and trots off the field.
The work on this night is done.

There is a sound around Norman Oklahoma that is seldom heard.

Defeated they are.

Oklahoma owns the nation's longest active home winning streak, winning 22 straight and 42 of its last 43.

The Sooners are 58-2 at home under Bob Stoops

10/18 No. 16 Kansas 6-1 (2-1) W 45-31

10/25 @ No. 23 Kansas 8-0 (4-0) W 63-21

.................................................................

The game I keyed into in making this play was the Kansas game by both teams.

Game won by Oklahoma on 10/18. and was played at Norman. Game closer and Kansas was ranked about the same to both teams.

Then I watched Texas Tech just destroy Kansas at Kansas , with Graham Herrell throwing bullets all
game long. What a display of passing completions.
I was at a pizza place eating pizza and drinking beers with my wife and she was not paying any attention. I was focused on that overhead TV.
I could not take my eyes off the TT offensive machine.

It was hard to believe the efficiency of Texas Tech.

Anyway you look at it a defeat of 14 points at home by Oklahoma is one thing.

But it is no where near a defeat by 42 points in your own backyard by Texas Tech.

I came close very close to making a moneyline play on this game as I believe that Texas Tech has a good chance to win.

The more I have thought about it, I cannot jeopradize my main play. As we all know anything can happen in a football game. Blocked punt, fumbles, interceptions can easily snatch victory from defeat.

Its hard for me to fathom Texas Tech losing this game by over 10 points. It should be close to the final bell.

This game is in the bag

I smell money and it smells green .!

Texas Tech offense vs. Oklahoma defense

Red Raiders QB Graham Harrell is operating Texas Tech's spread-formation offense more efficiently than it has ever been run in the past. That's scary to when you consider all of its successes dating back to the days of Kliff Kingsbury in 2001. There isn't a quarterback in the country that trusts his reads, trusts his protection and trusts his playmakers more than Harrell, and for good reason. Harrell knows the offense in and out, he is rarely under pressure and he is surrounded by a deep corps of talented receivers. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of trying to defend this offense is Harrell's ability to beat the opponent in so many different ways. This is not simply a dink-and-dunk attack. Harrell has consistently shown the ability to drive the ball downfield when he catches the opposing defense out of position, and it's not just the Harrell-to-Michael Crabtree show, either. Sure, you have to account for Crabtree's rare skills with at least some form of double-coverage on every play, but fellow WRs Detron Lewis, Eric Morris, Tramain Swindall and Edward Britton are all viable weapons in their own right. Lewis is a budding star, Morris is a pint-sized target with great hands and quickness, Swindall is a rangy target at 6-foot-3, and Britton has the speed to threaten vertically. Together they've combined for 2,263 yards and 12 scores on 178 receptions, with Crabtree totaling 1,010 yards and 18 touchdowns on 78 catches.

Texas Tech threw the ball 72 times against Oklahoma a year ago and would have no problem doing the same this time around if given the opportunity. However, coach Mike Leach is a bit more committed to the running game this season, which makes his offense tougher to defend than ever before. The Red Raiders' offensive line has been sensational this season, which is the biggest reason RBs Shannon Woods and Baron Batch are averaging six yards per carry. The experienced front has also allowed just five sacks in 499 passing attempts, far and away the best ratio in college football. Harrell makes quicker decisions than most and the offense is designed to get the ball out of his hands as quickly as possible, but all it takes is a glance at the game tape versus Texas to appreciate the talent and communication skills of Harrell's offensive front. The Longhorns pass rush, led by DEs Brian Orakpo and Sergio Kindle, has embarrassed some pretty good offensive lines this season -- including Oklahoma's -- but it was practically non-existent that night in Lubbock. :scared
