This should be a tough test for Texas as
Texas Tech really has nothing to lose. Texas Tech dont expect to be number #1 in the country this year. They just want to go to a nice bowl game.
No pressure on Texas Tech.

Texas Tech is at home in Lubbick.

Texas Tech has QB Graham Harrell. I respect the guy and all , but he is another whine baby in the mold of Chase Daniels. He don't take to sacks very well, and jumps up and runs to the officials. Texas
leads in sacks. :scared

Texas Tech has the passing stats for sure. They have Crabtree and he is very good. But Texas shuts down the run game which in non-exitant, and tee off on the passer. :scared

Texas Tech has the 98 th ranked passing defense. Oh shitballs.

:0corn
..................................................................

And to all of that I say hogwash.

Texas Tech will be lucky to come out of this game not totally embarressed.

Texas has come too far now for this type of one legged team to beat them.

Texas is for real. Texas to step up and take this game.

COLT MCCOY IS ON STEROIDS !

The game I really keyed into for this wager was

Texas Tech Vs Nebraska.

I will list what I found when I get more time.

Once again, we'll butt heads this week. I like my chances a lot more than the Missouri game. Grabbed Texas Tech +7 (-120) yesterday for 5*... we're betting to win the same amount. Line has gone down so you should have waited for a better price. However, you have been winning betting early and I'll give you credit.

HOPEFULLY, WE BOTH WIN! Don't wish me bad luck again... this started all our horse crap smack talk... I don't mind the heat as you know and can bring it back with stats and everything else including the kitchen sink. However, last time you were 100% correct as Texas crushed Missouri. I'll admit my losses and that was a horrid loss. Good thing I didn't have monster money on the game.

This game reminds me of Missouri with the line move... but this is the end of the similarities. Texas is playing their 4th straight VERY tough game. I just can't see them getting sky high again. Pressure eventually adds up and Lubbock is NO PICNIC. Glad I bet early again and hopefully a completely different outcome.

I was shocked when I saw you liked Texas, but you have read this team perfectly so who am I to argue with your picks.

I have also won a ton of money the past couple weeks so I'm probably overdue for a cold streak... still have to attempt to keep picking winners. Not going to say how much I'm up, but it's about 5 times what you're up for the season.

I think if Missouri and Texas played 100 more times, Texas might beat them by 25 or more 2 out of 100.

Good Luck and maybe Texas wins by 3 to 6 points and we're both happy. Don't tell me I'm dumb, etc. or I'll hex your bet and this thread all week. Nice job so far this season.

Turk,

His Underdogs have been losing this year so it would surprise me if that is the reason.

And finally, Mike Leach isn't Mack Brown.

The Red Raiders coach is a little wacky, particularly when compared to Brown, the latest caretaker of the enormous machine that is Texas football. Who else would find room on his roster for a sophomore who won a field-goal kicking contest at halftime of the fourth game of the season? That's what he did with Matt Williams, who was named the Big 12 special teams player of the week after drilling all nine of his extra points last week against the Jayhawks.:SIB

But Leach is also an offensive mastermind, the man who essentially brought the spread offense to the Big 12. When his quarterbacks were putting up video-game numbers year after year, the establishment dismissed the statistics, chalking the accomplishments up to "the system."

Fast forward to this season, as Longhorns quarterback Colt McCoy is viewed as the Heisman favorite because he's completing 82 percent of his passes for 2,285 yards and 21 touchdowns ? and did we mention he's doing so in a spread offense?

Meanwhile, Leach's quarterback, Graham Harrell, who might be the best the Tech coach has ever had in Lubbock, has "only" thrown for 3,147 yards and 28 touchdowns.

But Tech has always been about offense. Now, with Ruffin McNeill handpicked and entrenched as the defensive coordinator, the Red Raiders finally have a little punch on the other side of the ball.

Enough to topple the No. 1 team in the country? We'll see.

So, no, Texas Tech isn't Texas. Lubbock isn't Austin, and Leach certainly isn't Brown.

This game may come down to coaching.

Got to give Texas the edge there also.

Coach Leach is 1-7 against UT
offensive minded guru :scared

Harrell is going to see the best defense he has played against all season.

Texas secondary contained Daniels/Maclin, Bradford/Iglesias.

Texas front four to get pressure on Harrell.:SIB

and another thing

Texas defense is not ranked high nationally. Much of this is due to the passing yards given up.

In most games, Texas was ahead by a large margin. The opposing team had no choice but to pass every play. In addition, many of the passing yards given up were against the 2nd and 3rd team defense in the 4th quarter.

Missouri had 14 points and 180 yds against Texas` 2nd and 3rd teams. Ask Missouri what they think of the Texas defense.

OK State was averaging 42 points per game. They scored 24.
