YTD [-10.89]
Wk 6-4 (+1.90)
Thurs 2-1 (+0.78)
I don't know why, but there are quite a few on the card that I like for Friday. I've played these already:
CLEVELAND INDIANS (-104) There are a few things at work that I like here: (i) the Indians had Thursday off (ii) the Twins fought hard to comeback, only to lose to the Yanks in the ninth inning. This could have taken some wind out of their sails (iii) I see this as a major pitching mismatch......Westbrook has given up 3 ER in 3 GS versus Minny this year; Lohse has give up 17 ER in 3 GS vs. the Indians this year.
MONTREAL EXPOS (+119) This is a little along the same angle as the previous play, where I like the fact that Montreal had the day off, and in this case the Rockies actually had to play two on Thursday against the Mets. The Expos are an improved bunch lately, and I see these teams as fairly equal right now. I'll go with Armas at this price.
CHICAGO CUBS (+114) Again, I'm not seeing much difference between Glendon Rusch and Pete Munro, so I'll take the road dog fighting for a playoff spot against an underachieving Houston club that may have used up all their ammo in beating Philly on Thursday.....and costing me a T-Shirt...... :nutkick
Also leaning towards Harden and the A's and I think the Jays could get the job done with Josh Towers, even though they have only won 4 games in the month of August..... :nooo:
Good Luck to all, and Happy Friday. :toast:
