Finally, a successful day going 8-4. Watching the Dodgers batting was worse than pulling teeth, they even had a players-only meeting yesterday held by Brian Jordan before the game. It worked for Odalis Perez and Quantril, but obviously no one else. They probably need some Jobu black magic to wake their bats up, or something. Got any ideas? Gagne looked very good and comfotable in the 9th, Tracy might be on to something here.

I hope if nothing else, these info are helping you make a decision on your own plays.:)

Early card.........

Indians-115 (Baez/Redman)x1 and Under9.5-115 (listed)x1.5

To say that the Tigers get off to a slow start is an understatement. They have fallen below .500 after 3 games in every season since '91. Lima was quoted as saying "It's like a curse. We start each year 1-7,1-9.....I hate it" The bats have not done much, either. Opening day in Detroit is always a big event (expected sellout), but it hasn't done much for the Tigers in terms of W/L, 2-2, 4 Unders last 4 yrs. Baez and Redman both had good spring starts, evidenced by their numbers......Baez 26IP, 9ER, 21/4 K/BB, Redman 17.2IP, 4ER, 13/4 K/BB. Baez has oustanding stuff, fastball up to 97, curveball in high 80's, with a splitter and change up. Redman more of a control pitcher, but with 4BB in 17.2IP in the spring, I expect him to be right around the plate with his pitches. Temp is going to be around freezing with occasional light snow, that wouldn't give advantage to neither the pitchers nor the batters.

Back with more, GOOD LUCK.

Thanks, TJ. Got any parlay winners today? :D

Ana/Tx no play

Philly-150 (Duckworth/Tavarez)
Philly just coming off of a spanking in Atlanta, where the flood gates opened after Rolen closed the gap to 3-2. Duckworth and Tavarez had similar spring stats. But backing Duckworth today because the knock on Tavarez has been his motivation and his concentration. His mind just seems to wonder off during the game while he's on the mound. In 20IP this spring, 14K and 11BB. He has to start his season opener in the team's 4th road game of the season, facing a Philly team ready to tee off on someone, also Philly's home opener.

Cubbies-170 (Bere/Williams) and Over7.5-115 (listed)
Wind blowing out to right / right center. Both starters give up lots of homers historically, and even this spring (Williams 8, Bere 5). There's nothing like a Cubbie home opener in baseball, the fans will be rocking, there won't be an empty seat in the house. Looking for something special out of the Cubbies today.

Good Luck All

One more...........

Pads+158 (Tomko/Rueter)
Might just be a Dodger fan talking, but I wasn't impressed with the offense that the Giants produced in the Dodger series. The Dodgers just flat out sucked. Bonds was responsible for the majority of the offense, and look at the pitchers they faced: an ailing Brown who had trouble spotting his pitches and left them over the plate all nite, Nomo whose fastball topped out at 84mph, Mulholland (enough said), Omar Daal left a hanging curveball over the plate and Bonds crushed it. Pads had the day off yesterday, while SF was in a late night game in LA, and now have to play an early afternoon game. Tomko returns to NL might benefit him after spending 2 yrs in AL. Rueter had a 7.36 ERA last April in 25.2IP, 3.96 in 25IP this spring. The Giants swept LA at home for the first time in 20yrs!! This could be a nice spot for a letdown.

Good Luck

Congrats to the Clv Over backers, the Over was never in doubt.

Going with another hedge play........

Balt+135 x1 and Bos/Balt Under9.5-115 (Lowe/Towers) x1.5

Bos is 19-7 UNDER after allowing 10 runs or more over the last 3 seasons.
Lowe is 10-3 UNDER in games played on a grass field since 1997.
Balt is 110-68 UNDER at home when the total is 9 to 9.5 since 1997.
Towers is 6-1 UNDER in the first half of the season over the last 3 seasons
20 of 31 games in this series have gone UNDER since 1997.
Lowe's spring stats 2-1, 3.46 ERA, 26IP, 24H, 2HR, 6BB, 19K
Towers 2-0 lifetime vs Bos
After facing Clemens, Wells, Mussina, I think the Balt bats will be able toget a few more hits vs. Lowe.

You S.O.B., why the Spos? I was about to take Cinci. Haynes is an enigma, but historically does well at home to start the season. Yoshii, well, he's OLD, and gets flustered when he's behind.

ChiSox Over9.5 -120 (Garland/Byrd)

Seems like everyone and their mother is on the over. Was gonna make it 2 units, but decided to stick with 1.
Hot hitting teams, shorter distance to the fence, struggling young pitchers. Seems too easy, maybe? We'll see.

Good luck, buddy!:thefinger

Lost track of time watching the Cubs loser, here are the rest.....

Cinci-130 (Haynes/Yoshii)
The Anti-TJ play. :D Just kidding.

KC+130 (Garland/Byrd)
Both great offense, suspect defense, striggling pitchers. Taking the home doggy.

Braves-120 (Astacio/Lopez)
Braves own Astacio (2-13 lifetime). Now faces a hot Atl club on the road with Sheff killing the ball. Mets bats are dormant, can't back them until they show me something.

Good luck ALL:toast:

Cards-105 (Williams/Mlicki) and Over10-110

Jumping on the StL bandwagon. These 2 teams historically are involved in very high scoring affairs in HomeRun Field. At 10 it's worth a shot.

Good Luck
