Rakman has some good stuff on the Nucks. Vanc is also 7-1 after a loss. Vanc needs to get back to playing winning hockey, and we're getting a nice price since Vanc has been mediocre lately plus they're in a 3/4 spot. But they are one of the few teams this yr with a winning record on the road playing 3/4 (4-2-1).

BTW, some 3/4 spots info for you hockey addicts

Calg on the road vs Edm. Not touching the high juice, but Calg is horrendous this yr in 3/4 road spots (1-4-1), the lone win is vs the lowly Preds.

Ana at home vs Phx. 0-1 this yr at home in 3/4, vs Det, overall a pretty respectable 4-5-1.

NJ at home vs Atl. NJ's been perfect in 3/4 home spots, 4-0 vs TB, Dal, Fla, and Car.

Vanc on the road vs Buf.

Wash at home vs NYI. Wash is another team that's just horrible in 3/4 spots (2-6-2), but they're 2-0 at home including a 4-3 win over the same NYI on 1/13. My lean is on NYI with revenge on their mind. Don't see Wash winning 3 straight home 3/4 spots including 2 straight vs NYI.

I will also be hammering the Wings on Saturday in Colorado in a short revenge angle. Chenks, are you with me?

I definitely think that a Thrashers win would definitely have me singing a Michael Jackson song or something!!! The two-night mini slump ends on Friday ddubs!

With regards to the Canucks - Buffalo game, my early lean is on Buffalo and I will tell you why. One of the main reasons is Martin Biron, I agree the Sabres have had a 4 game losing streak but 2 of those losses came against the Sens and the Blues both in OT. Biron was between the posts in both. Miller played the other two and gave up 9 goals in both. Biron's last 5 games GAA is 1.16 with 3 shutouts. The other reason why I'm leaning on Buffalo is Vancouver's play. They have maintained a mediocre 5-5-3 record over their last 13 games. I would say it would be OK if it was against premier teams but if you look at the opponents they faced, not a very great record. Giving up a 3 goal lead is a definite boost for the next game if you put it aside. But they have givin' up leads in 3 of their last 4 games. You'd think they would of got the message by yet? With this said, I won'T be on the Canucks and will probably put one on the Sabres, probably half on PL and half on ML.

But the beauty about all this is... I could be all wrong!!!

Cyra.... the one strange thing about the Nucks is that they do good against the better teams and struggle with the lower caliber teams.... I don't know if they just look past those games or what... but most of their losses come against weaker teams.... so if the case is of them looking past them then don't look for them to look past Buffalo.... these guys were embarrased and will come out Firing.....
I respect your point.... but at almost even $$ I will 95% of the time go with the overall better team... and in this case its the Nucks....

Korn - You're absolutely right about the value that you are getting with the Canucks against a team like Buffalo.

One thing I try to disregard as much as possible is team records. I usually base myself on present team performance and individual player performance. Looking at it from that angle, nothing has been spectacular in the Canucks play of late. As for Buffalo, nothing has been spectacular but their is a goalie that wants to play every game and his name is Biron. Great chance for him on Friday to show his coach that Ryan Miller should be a backup goaltender.

I'm glad that you got a good price for them tonight and I hope that more value is added on the Buffalo side because taking them at +140 is not as nice as fun!

I'm anxious to see the result of this game!!! We just added more excitement to it!
