It hurts to post the record thats been accumulated thus far as my D1 (in particular Totals) have obliterated my Football bankroll for the most part.... With that said, I only know one way to make money at this endeavor and that's keep plugging away and wait for the tide to turn.... For those that have faded my recent picks, last month and half, you should be punishing your bookie  ... An old timer once told me that "it ain't a sprint kid" (I was 29, he was 70)....unfortunately he lost his race about 7 years ago.... He told me this after I had wagered my largest bet up until that point (the Big 12 Championship Game in which I was getting +3 with Snyders Wildcats against Oklahoma Sooners... The bet was for $54,000 and I still have the damn ticket to this day.... Obviously, you know how this one played out....
So here it is: Laugh at it, Throw Rocks at it, Spit on it, Piss on it or Hang it for eulogy purposes on the mantle...
HSF Degen Plays: 35-13-1 (+46.6 units)
FCS Plays: 77-70 (-40.5 units)
FBS Plays: 68-85-6 (-115.5 units)

Cabell-Midland +12' Huntington (65)
*Highly recommended to take a look at Musca thread as he is from this area and knows way more than I do on this 3A Rivalry Game being played at 4:30 pm..... Also, need to remind myself that these Rivalry contests can pretty much throw out the record book as teams with little semblance of hope often play above their paygrade and sometimes steal the show..
Cabell-Midland Knights are a respectable (5-4 in overall) and (5-2 league)....and have owned this series lately winning last year (27-20) and (35-10) in 2015.... In 2014, Knights won (31-26), but lost in the playoffs (28-21).......This year's version averages 43.2 ppg but allows a cringing 34.7 to erase whatever goodwill might exist.... Knights are ranked #5 in Div 3A of WV... And ranked #6 in WV...... Their leader HC Luke Salmons made it clear that one of the biggest attractions that drew him here was this Rivalry.... Knights Dynasty record is 107-56 overall and 86-42 in League, which shows that there is a winning attitude ingrained in the team, school, and community.... They have won League in 2015 after a 12-1 campaign that saw the State Championship slip through their fingers.... Also won League in 2012 & 2003....CM has been one of the states most powerful programs since 2011, but has struggled when reaching playoffs.... The Knights do have some D1 talent and returned quite a few starters from last year, but the nemesis seems to be the Team Defense, that although some of these D1 talents that are playing both ways, haven't been able to plug all the holes and have given key yardage and points to the opponent on any given night..in some of the most psyche draining plays...
Still, there isn't much wrong with the Offense averaging 43.2 points and the team as a whole is a smash mouth run the ball offense, that averages a outstanding 474.5 yards per game while only passing for 31.8 yards per game
(NOTE : As MUSCA stated, will only pass 2-3 times per game)... The team features a 5'10" 190 lb RB, Ivan Vaughn (had over 1, 800 yards last year on the ground) and has been given accolades as possibly the best back in the state.... Gotta be said that any RB with his size that has nearly 2,000 rushing as the 3rd RB on the depth chart is special..so far the Tailback has 1,567 yards on 172 carries... Handing the ball to Ivan is returning QB (Sr 5'11" 175 lbs) Jovaun Light who only averages just over 30 yards per game passing, but will pull it down once in a while and run..... Fullback (Sr 6'2" 215 lbs) Isaiah Duncan, has rushed for 1,178 yards on 127 carries, which takes some of the load off of Vaughn.... (Duncan is going to Marshall on full ride)... Duncan is a standout LB too, and is actually the reason Marshall is interested.... TE Zach McCoy (6'3" 220 lbs) is already garnering interest as a Sophomore and scouts love his size.... The Oline is athletic and has quick feet to open up the holes....
Huntington Highlanders are popping on all gears.... The offense averages 34.3 ypg but only allows 12.67 ppg.... HC Billy Seals likes what he sees this year and believes this team can make it to the promise land... Considering the team is 9-0 and has played a very difficult pre-season, that's quite a statement.... Highlanders had to replace some D1 talent from graduation, but will be lead by O-Line Tackle (Jr Darnell Wright.. At 6'6" 285 lbs) has been described as a Mammoth on the field, he has tremendously quick feet with brutish strength, it's why he is a Blue Chip and one of the most highly regarded Linemen in the State (also plays both ways) He is the #12 prospect overall and the #2 OLineman in the country...... Joining him at the other tackle is (6'4" 245 lb) Max Howell who was invited to the All American Bowl Combine for USA Military).... Running the show is QB Luke ZBan, a returning signal caller, who has completed 78 of 145 passes for 1,258 yards w/7 TDs..... RB Jaydon Hayes (also starts at Strong Safety) has 1,671 yards on 217 carries w/26 TDs this season.... WR Mikal Dawson, (Sr 6'4" 200 lbs) has 31 catches for 562 yards w/4 TDs, and has several power colleges looking his way.... Several WRs also have had some colleges looking their way.... The Defense has been outstanding and is coming off of consecutive shut-outs... The Defensive Leader is Shymeik Burger, a 3 year starter...
Highlanders are on a roll and have clinched homefield through the first 3 rounds provided they continue their winning ways... As Musca pointed out, the Game is billed as the "Battle for the Shield" which goes to the winner to keep until the following year (a major source of pride) however, the Knights have held on to the Trophy for 3 consecutive years and even though Highlanders won in 2014 playoffs, the trophy is only for this game....... No doubt, Knights will be bringing their A game to this one and should be noted that the Knights have never lost in back to back games......Highlanders have had big expectations since August, and have been carrying around a Chip on their shoulders for losing last year in the opening round playoffs by losing on the final play of the game.... Highlanders have advanced to Playoffs for 6 consecutive seasons........ The Knights will need to figure something out on Defense in order to have much hope in this one.... Last week against Spring Valley, the Timberwolves had 9 possessions that resulted in 8 TDs..... The bright spot is this team has a very potent rushing offense, that consistently averages almost a mind-blowing 500 yards per game which makes you wonder how it is only 5-4?
Guess we will see tonight.... I played 2 units on Huntington -12.....and 3 units on the Over 65 (its a lot of points in a Rivalry and I may get burned, however I need to follow the stats, and hopefully both offenses will come to play.. Good Luck
