the oil company was just given the contract to take over the oil wells in Iraq. this is the same halliburton that paid Dick Cheney, yes the vice president, $25 million a few years back and is almost certainly still on the payroll.

speaking of contracts(cuz yes this is about oil)....

Bush and Cheney tried getting their contract with drilling in Alaska...thankfully, the senate voted against drilling in Alaska. Why would Bush want to drill in Alaska when only you`ll be able to drill 3.5 million barrels...and the United States uses 7 million barrels a year....hmmmmm pretty shadyyyyyyyyyy. Someone would be lieing if they didnt say Bush and Cheney arent crooks...

Yeah, Halliburton is included in all kinds of post war profits, err I mean rebuilding of Iraq. It goes far beyond oil wells. Very interesting stuff. But probably just a coincidence.

hellah then why didn't we get all the oil the last time????

you people trust everyone in this world EXCEPT the US gov't.....

i happen to know that there are honorable men on both sides of the aisle.....

Bush is an honorable man.....so are some democrat senators -- namely Lieberman, the former Wellstone and some others.....heck even Al Gore is a man of honor and they all try to do the right thing above all else......Clinton on the other hand is a crook and this guy WOULD be in there for his own means....

Bush has a cabinet surrounding him filled with men and women who have the highest esteem by their peers....yet some of you accuse them of being crooks based on groundless information....

you should have a healthy suspicion of the government, but this is far beyond healthy....

why dont you spend your time attacking Hussein who tortures his athletes and families of defected athletes or puts citizens in cement mixers????

so what if some oil companies "benefit".....guess what???? when US business goes into a country and offers its services, EVERYONE BENEFITS!!!!! Jobs are created and the WEALTH OF NATIONS is able to be shared by the PEOPLE OF IRAQ!!! Not just some asshole in his gold toilet seats.....and we will NOT just go in there and take all their oil....we didn't do that the 1st time and nor will we do it this time.....yeah we may help them develop things with our business....but is that a bad thing????? or would you rather have Saddam keep on building palaces and torture chambers?

I dont think oil came into play first war. We stopped way short of Bagdad. We did not even try to overthrow Saddam. And we liked him so much we stated buying oil from Iraq again in 1992. Yes I hate to say it before that crook Clinton was even elected. Im still thinking on that one. Why Clinton was called a crook. He was cleared of all charges other then his BJ. BJ don't make you a crook. In fact Mr Star spent 60 million of yours/my money and said chit cant find nothing. If I remember right they were after Mrs Clinton every other day to. Tryed to tie her into a 30 grand land deal. Spent another 25 million on that and found nothing. Dam have to wonder all the great things that may have got done if the Rebulicans would have taken more time to do what we pay them for. Strang now we have Bush and we here he has some problems to. But no one should talk about them. I think we should talk about all of them if they have anything good to talk about. But lets not give Congress another 60/70 million dollars to waist. Time to move on folks. Liveing in the past just has to many wounds from to many of our leaders. Going all the way back to G Washinton.

what does bush have.....enron? does that mean anyone in Texas is a crook because we had Enron here? dem's got just as much $$ from them as anyone...

yes Clinton is a crook....if his own Veep knows it then i think it is pretty much a given...there are several scandals and cases of shredded documents and lawyer maneuvers that got him out of everything....not too hard to figure that out....and Gore hates him because of it....just wait til 2008 til Gore vs. Billary in the primaries if Bush does win re-election and you will see lots come out....i can assure you of that

no one will go in there and steal all the oil.....who knows, i am sure Halliburton as well as several other US companies will go in there and try to develop some legitimate businesses and the Iraqi people will prosper (as these companies do in almost EVERY other oil producing country).....and if someone has a better idea on how to rebuild the countries infrastructure WITHOUT the aid of US business, then you also would rather reinvent the wheel.....

Not saying I know anymore. Just saying I might see things quite differently. It's not healthy to get all your news from one source. Just hoping to show a few people the other side of the stone. Things the American propaganda machine doesn't always reveal.

well maybe you should take a look at what America does in this world instead of getting your anti-American rhetoric which is fueled by envy

our propaganda is fueled by love of country and promotion of justice, peace, and liberty for all peoples

I just wanna know why did Bush wanna drill in Alaska so badly when there is only 3.5 million barrels to drill...

And no, I dont trust the US Gov....or any Gov around the world for that matter. Democrat or Rep. I dont trust any of them.

well most of your "facts" did not happen during the bush administration and or the bush administration has nothing to do with them....

others are very poor inferences and have little/nothing to do with why we are going after Hussein

so then i would consider that post anti-AMerican instead of anti-Bush....

and right now, if you are against our President, you are against our troops -- beacuse he is the commander of our troops and they are one and the same -- our troops could lay down their arms and surrendur to Iraq if they believed different

so then, you are against our troops and against American right now if you are anti-Bush because he is our commander in chief and any American can flee to another country if he/she doesn't like it

hellah that is environmentalist propaganda -- those #'s....dont know where you get them but the Alaskan oilfields are exponentially greater than that....

i happen to know people in our government and am related to some others who are/have been higher up than any of you can imagine....and most are honorable men and ARE trustworthy...most do the right thing and are bound by their conscience evne though they disagree with different worldviews on each side of the aisle

It's not "my" facts freeze. It's something that was presented to me and I presented it to the discussion. You once again ASSUMED that it was mine, and that I believed in it. Do you ASSUME something everytime you hear something? Or do you seek clarification on the facts first. I would guess the former.

sure they may may pull political moves once in a while in hopes of getting re-elected but that is all part of it and lots of times those moves are beneficial because they create a stalemate which is usually a good thing....if you believe government that governs best is that which governs least

Got them from the EPA 3 months ago, when I was writing a paper on oil drilling and the pro's and con's with it.

Plus if they even DID drill up there...it takes nearly 10 years to get it down to the states...and this I would know for a fact. You got to drill it, send it down here, test it, refine it, then transport it. Not easy task

i assumed you were the one who posted it....if i post something then you can assume it is me who posted it....it woudl be "my" post

obviously you posted shit that is not clarified and has ridiculous inferences and conclusions....i would infer that you post then do NOT seek to clarify because that is what i observe

right on the time frame and the EPA's #'s....but the EPA is not exactly an unbiased organization...it is an organization bent on taking away freedoms and personal property and making them the governments...

i think we SHOULD be stewards of the earth and am all for clean air and water and wildlife and the like but frankly the EPA is out of control and is composed for the most part of environmentalist wackos
