Drudge is reporting on his site that Bush's Thanksgiving trip to Iraq was a staged event and limited to only certain pre-picked soldiers. Who would of guessed?

I am sure it was staged. I am sure the soldiers were pre-picked. This should not be a surprise to anybody. Politicians of all persuasions do this kind of thing on a regular basis. Do you think they don't want total control over the situation? Unfortunately, sideshows like that seem to only increase his popularity. That is the nature of our citizenry at large - smoke and mirrors over substance.

No I would not be surprised that Drudge or Al Frankan or even Dean after his "Bush knew 9-11 was coming theory" would come up with something like that. I believe if that was so they would have had to bring a shit load of actors along because you could not train military to have such spontaneous looks on the faces I saw when he stepped out.
If it were that easy to train them in spontaneous jubilation I am sure Hiliary and Reed could have conjurred up a few timid smiles somehow from someone other than the enemy.

Drudges source of statement was article from Stars and Stripes that said basically, security screened soilders and others that would be allowed to enter dinner with the president for security reasons. Hellen Keller could see that stands to reason. The soilders had no clue in advance why some units ate with president and some ate later.

Washngton Post article

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A57870-2003Dec11.html

and here is how the left spin it---"Who would have guessed?"

Maybe I'll take a different route and start topics about which is the better candidate in the Dem party and get them bickering among themselves:lol:

I enjoy viewing articles like below.I believe when all the shouting is over before they have to nominate one, that the majority will see that they are driven on little less than anger and negativity.

The funniest one I seen was Dean discussing in length in one of his rallys bout Soviet Union this and Soviet Union that and finally bout after 15 minutes there was one person in rally that had clue enough to tell him there had not been a Soviet Union in years
but-but-but The hell you say!!!!! I must have had a brain fart:D

Definately pres material:tongue

Watch the video of Gw coming in for dinner. Watch at least 5 gi's with digital cameras and several more disposables. Do they often bring cameras to dinner? I don't care if it was staged or not. I think it was.. It was still pretty cool, and I lean more to the left.

As far as Howard Dean's Soviet Union Spoof? Yea he's a dumbass,
But remember Gw on the campaign trail, he needed a geography lesson and Social Sudies tutor to know who the heads of state were.

Why did the troops have cameras? Shit man, its thanksgiving and they are in a war zone! Time to relax and enjoy a decent meal with their comrades and take some pictures to remember the good feast and show their friends back home they are doing ok.

I am guessing that when they screened these troops they had told them there would be a special guest at the dinner but never told them who it was actually going to be.

My only question all along was. Why did he leave so fast. Wars over just ask him. You see it's just not dumb folks like Dean that say stranage things. We have alot of dumb ones in DC right now. For certain Rummy. He always needs Bush around to help correct what ever the hell he meant. A for this election. It's a throw away by the Dems. If everyone was smart they would save all that money both parties will waist. However if a Dean or Clark would pull a upset. That would mean things have turned to the worst. Not just in Iraq. But here with more folks out of jobs and that would not be good for any of us. They can put a Dem back in 08.
Oh ya Fuzzy Putts or what ever. Why dont you ever say whats reallly on your small mind.

I don't see what's the big deal. Of course these events are 'staged.' That is no secret. Seems to me the bigger hypocrite is Billary who voted to go into Iraq and then tells the troops in Iraq that the US is not suppoting them. All my friends in the military give me feedback that they hate Billary as much as she hates them. I'd love to see the faces on the troops when she stepped out- staged or not

I would just like to see the "best" candidate get into Office- whoever it is, but the DEMs w/Dean saying Bush knew about 911 and Sharpton- no comment, etc., well at this point Bush looks like the lesser of 9 evils- pun intended. Pretty sad state of affairs, but thats where I think we're@...:(

djv- sorry man, but I get the impression that the longer he stayed the more you'd post about Bush not doing the job here@ home. As far as Iraq...to sum it up IMO: 1) Its a done deal- period so talking won't change things and 2) 'When the going gets tough, The tough get going.

I have it upon very good information that Bushie was airbrushed into all those photographs with Baghdad in the background and that the video shots of him walking around with all the soldiers was actually filmed in New Mexico at the same site that they filmed the moon walk.

It is comical that you right wingers do not mind Boy George using our soldiers as some kind of a campaign comercial to be run on Fox. There's Boy George walking around with a fake turkey! LOL!

Really, DJV. If you look very closely at the Bush Thanksgiving Day made-for-tv video, you will see faintly in the background a red 2002 Ford F-150 bearing New Mexico license plates. The driver, a blonde female with a cowboy hat on is chugging a Lone Star. The pick-up truck also shows a Dallas Cowboys window flag with the unmistakeable star on the passenger window. The vehicle is speeding eastwardly down the road on its way to the Cowboys-Dolphins game in Texas stadium.

Also, the Dean tv ad, which revealed this fraud, has a close-up of the driver. Its Jenna Bush. Oh yeah, the moonwalk. Seriously, I was there but, I'm not allowed to tell anyone. So everyone who reads this please forget it.

Booed. Not half as loud as the corporate puppet currently holding office on Pennsylvania Avenue will get booed out of office by intelligent, thinking American voters next November. Ask the soldiers who they prefer? Why don't you ask U.S. Bank employees who they prefer, their CEO or Citibanks CEO? Who pays them. On issue, who is more likely to support defense contractors and increase pay for the military. Easy answer, the Texas mafia. Idiotic statement.

Of course, those who are silly enough to go and fight a war so that Haliburton can make its number this quarter are going to support the bought and sold conman who sent them there. I'm still waiting for the US troops to find that balsa wood and rubberbanded airplane delivery system that the US was so worried about before the criminals in DC launched this unprecedented, unwarrented invasion of another country.

Firefighters, police, etc are going to support someone who they perceive to be a flag waiving, patriotic good old boy who would rather launch a military attack instead of diplomacy any day of the week over an intellectual who will try to work a nonviolent resolution to a problem. Kinda like the bully in the school yard in seventh grade. Used his muscle instead of his brains.

For an obvious reason.

Eddie to your list of military-firefighters-police-banks----
you might want to add farmers-tax payers-and as you distainly call them the moral majority and patriotic flag wavers.

Certainly is a loathsome group isn't it.:)

Hint: You do much better writing in the latter part of the day.
4:30 am is much too early,

You have just made the best arguement for what I have been trying to say.;)

----and might I ask are you doing up so early on Sunday? Are you picking up any pertinent news on Saddam on your scanner we are not privvy to yet?

Loathsome group? In general, yes. Bankers, military personell, farmers, not what you would call your most intellectual groups. Forgot to add insurance agents.

Gotta scoot. F. Lee, Johnnie C., Jackie Childs, Barry Scheck, Gloria A. and moi are headen to Baghdad to begin forming our dream team/legal team for Mr. Husseins' defense. Hell, you'd be joining us on the plane over if your principals had provided insurance to Mr. Hussein for his alledged acts and omissions. You'd be rootin for us too.

By the way, I give you credit. Your writing and content are the same no matter what time you post. Kinda like watching Moisha on WB over and over again.
