Am I the only one who doesn't understand Navy's playcalling in this game? Seemed like an odd choice there. I thought they would string out and give themselves more than option. :shrug:

That is a coach who should be fired...

not because I lost a couple of bucks, but a sure tie and a chance at a win in OT as opposed to a chance at a loss - good chance it would seem - hell the kicker made a couple of EP's... not like that was an issue...

I think most coaches would go for the win there, especially considering it was a road game. If they get a yard they win the game, and they had been running the ball pretty well against Maryland's D. Sure, kicking the FG would have tied the game, but OT would have been a coin flip even if they made the FG. I'd rather have my fate determined by my ability to pick up one yard on one play than on an OT period where anything can happen.

But that's just my opinion. I didn't have money on the game either way. It shouldn't have never come down to that one play anyway. Too many mistakes by Navy...
