"the bunker"
double standard?

what`s good for the goose...isn`t necessarily good for the gander.... like all elitists, they believe in "do as I say not as I do", because, they are above the standards they want the rest of us to live by....

the aclu is currently suing the city of n.y. for their policy of randomly searching luggage on the n.y. subway system.

well...If you visit the nycu offices in n.y....you`ll see a sign that says “i.d. required” and “all packages are subject to search upon arriving and leaving".

they are willing to risk the lives of thousands of new yorkers in the subway system, but they aren’t willing to risk themselves or their property inside their own office......

lol...

All should send aclu small box and inside wish them a merry christmas-----they will think it is $ and have to take time to open all of them. Use lots of strong tape!

The ACLU is the ultimate group of 5 year olds, they jsut do things to show they can and piss people off, no rhyme or reason to it.

Problem is the far right wing answer to the ACLU, the ACLJ is just as bad on the other end of things.

Could be-time will tell. The most ironic thing in this fight is the ACLU won almost all cases on freedom of speech--those defending had tried to do so with seperation of church and state to no avail but now have strung several victories vs aclu using their own freedom of speech angle. Won't be much fight left in aclu on religion or terrorist rights in the future thanks to #5 or in this Ginsberg who has always been the 5th or deciding vote on most aclu matters. Judicial activism is on its last legs.

wonder if aclu will represent this guy in life liberty and pursuit of happiness angle or use of motion sensors without court order?Wonder if Edward will represent the calves in class action suit? :)

NEILLSVILLE, Wis. (AP) - A 64-year-old man has pleaded no contest to charges in Clark County Circuit Court after telling police he regularly had been using calves for sexual gratification.

Harold G. Hart was placed on two years probation Thursday and ordered to have psychological counseling and an alcohol and drug abuse assessment after pleading to charges of sexual gratification with an animal and disorderly conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, the family living on the farm Hart visited, installed a motion sensor because they had seen suspicious footprints and vehicle tracks.

When the sensor sounded, Hart was caught leaving the barn. He later told police the farm was a routine stop, usually after bar closing or on trips to strip clubs near Marshfield or Neillsville.

Hart told police he had gone to the farm at least 50 times in the last year, sometimes two to four times in a week.

DTB, if I had to choose I would support the ACLJ over the nuts at the ACLU. On occasion I listen to Jay Sekulow who I believe is in charge of legal operations there and it seems to me they are just as guilty when it comes to defending things just for the sake of defending it.

Certainly I believe in the First Amendment, but at what point is the Pledge of Alligance that important? I mean honestly, money could be much better spent fighting other battles.

I said the Pledge every day when I was in school and can't see where it helped or hurt me one bit. If you think your inalienable rights are at stake over this issue then by all means fight the good fight, I just think the money could be spent defending real issues in the world today.

If your a judge and don't want to hang the 10 commandments in your court room then don't, we don't need to spend thousands and thousands of dollars deciding if thats OK or not, etc.....
