and while up there don't miss Ted's Red Hots - superb hardwood charbroiled hotdogs. And fine loganberry juice drink, a seasonal treat. Their oldest location in nearby Tonawanda dates from 1948 (Sheridan Rd outlet)

folks in Buffalo explained to me that some local restaurateur claimed a version of hot wings that predated Anchor Bar, but his were a bit different. Anchor Bar certainly was the first to serve it in the classic way we understand it with tips cut, no batter, and served with celery and cooling dressing.
