"All Strange Things Must Come To An End"
So, first things first...I'm starting at the end of
last week's episode in this e-mail,
as it seems to be the 1st thing people want to know
about. Yes, "he broke my heart.? Many of you were
shocked to hear me utter those words, but I guarantee
you that you weren?t as shocked as I was to see them
shown on tv. The problem lies in that ?he? that
?broke my heart? isn?t Andrew Firestone. I was
actually referring to an ex-boyfriend.
When I left the ?bachelor pad? for the last time, I
gave a final interview about my thoughts on the
process, the experience itself, and Andrew. I stated
that I do think that one can find love in this way,
but that Andrew and I just didn?t find it with one
another. This prompted questions from the producer interviewing me such as ?have you ever been in love before? When? Who? And what happened?? Long story short, I told him that I would answer any and all of his questions, but that they (ABC) better not edit the footage to make it look as if I was referring to Andrew. They assured me that they would NEVER do that.
Needless to say, I?m very vocal about the editing
process at this point, no matter what my contract
says. I can?t believe that the producers can ask 25
girls to go on national tv to (most likely) be
rejected, and they ask us to be open, honest, to live
in the moment, and to trust them. Then, they pull
that crap. It seems as though they were having a hard
time finding some video reel with a bachelorette that
showed actual emotion for Andrew. Cheap!
Aside from the above, I loved every minute of the
experience while I was in Malibu. I loved the girls,
the crew, and I even loved hanging out with Andrew
when the opportunity arose.
Speaking of Andrew, people ask me ?what was he really
like?? a lot. Well, I thought that he was such a nice
guy. We had a good time together just joking around.
I think that if I met him on the street, we?d be good
friends, but nothing more. I found Andrew to have the
right thoughts and ideas about marriage, but I didn?t
feel that his level of maturity would allow for
marriage at this point in his life. And, since my
poor ?ex? has been called out a few times throughout
my ?airtime? on the show, I will share this with you.
The 1st thing that I told the producer interviewing me
when I left the show was ?this bachelor has NOTHING on
my ?ex.??
I?ve been trying to keep a running list of your
questions, as well as questions from random people
that stop me to talk. Again, I?m just going to try to
answer them all, but in no particular order.
No, I did not get paid to be on the show. But, they
do pay for all of your travel and your food while you
are there.
Kirsten DID NOT get to keep the diamond jewelry from
the Yacht Date. But, she did get to keep the dress
and shoes. (Again, did I get shafted on the dates, or
what!?!?!)
Andrew?s friends, Kevin and Shannon, were in the house
with us for 3 days. Kevin is pretty cool, but a
little immature too. Shannon, well?she is pretty
skank if you ask me. I mean, she is nice, but kind of
a redneck.
Someone asked me if I knew I was going on a ho-down
date because I had the bandana shirt. Actually, that
was just a regular bandana from the date box that Liz
and I made into a shirt for the date. Gay? Maybe,
but we had fun making it just the same.
Speaking of Liz, she is not an emotional basket case
like the show makes her out to be. She is such a cool
chick, but they make her look like she is going to
pass out at every rose ceremony.
Amber is neither a drunk nor a binge-eater. Although,
the scene of her eating was hilarious and she
definitely gets the award for the funniest line of the
episode when she said, ?I?m going to be the fat girl
on the reunion show.?
My 1-on-1 time with Andrew? this will shock you. My
TOTAL 1-on-1 time with him the entire 3 weeks that I
was in CA was about 30 minutes. That is why the
1-on-1 dates are so coveted by the girls. I?d be
willing to bet my house that Andrew couldn?t tell you
where in TN I am from, where I went to college, or
anything else basic like that.
The fascination with Kirsten- Why was Andrew always
asking us about her on our dates? No idea, because he
would defend her against anything that anyone said
anyway. And, why didn?t anyone like her? It wasn?t
exactly like that. No one (that I know of) hated
Kirsten. She isn?t a mean girl or anything like that.
She just has no interest in being friends with the
other 9 of us. She made that very clear to us, and
people didn?t like that. So, when Kirsten?s ?ex?
story came to light, everyone jumped on the bandwagon.
Is there an ?ex?? Of course; we all had exes. But,
Kirsten seemed to be talking about ____ all the time
in front of us. (I never said that she was smart, did
I?)
I watched the show last week in NY with Audree. We
got up Thursday morning and did the ABC Radio Tour
shows, Good Morning America, Extra, Zap2It.com, and E! Entertainment TV. It was fun, but tiring. We did all of these interviews by 1:30pm Thursday.
So, what now? ?Women Tell All? (except the really
good stuff that will probably be edited out!) I think
that this episode will air on May 14th, but that isn?t definite. Will this be my last e-mail? No idea. If there is something that I think you will all be interested in, I?ll write again. In the meantime, I need a job. Help searching is ALWAYS appreciated.
Oh, pick up the Entertainment Weekly (with Jennifer
Aniston and Jim Carrey on the front.) There is a
picture of me accepting a rose in it and it calls me
?the angry Catholic.? Heehee. Let me know if you run
across anything pertaining to The Bachelor, because
they don?t tell us when something will be coming out
about it. We just have to happen upon it like
everyone else.
