According to Tom Jackson of ESPN, the best part of Brett Favre is that he isn't afraid of throwing an INT

He goes on to compare that statement to Michael Jordan and wanting to shoot the last shot.

This sounds like comparing apples to oranges.

Compare MJ's last shot to Manning's 2 min offense that takes it down to score the winning TD. Please Tom Jackson don't give Brett Favre an out to make that rookie mistake. He throws an INT and loses the NFC championship.

all his fault.

Please do yourself a favor and do not compare Manning to Jordan? And I think Manning will go down as the best ever, allbeit it's a different world for QBs in this era... When Marino, Elway, etc... played the receivers were mugged all the way down the field and not to mention how much the refs protect the QB. The corners can't even touch the receivers five yards down the field, not to say Manning is great, he is in his era, probably the best ever.

Well, if you want to use "the past" as your yardstick......Superstar basketball players 50 years ago still played by the same rules as all the other guys. They didn't get to take extra steps....palm the ball....cry and get a call......and so on.

On top of all this, don't discount playing 8 home games in a dome every year. Perfect passing conditions every year, fast track to run on for receivers......

It would be interesting to see:

1. What Manning's numbers would be if he had to play home games in Buffalo or Green Bay AND

2. The numbers Favre would have had if he played indoors his whole career like Manning. Favre lost a lot of TD's, etc, over the years due to the poor playing conditions of Lambeau field...

I've always thought a QB that plays their home game in a dome has the same type of advantage that a hitter had in Coors Field in the 1990's. Just such an advantage.....

Sure that INT was a bad one, but the 12 men in the huddle out of a TO is absolutely a mistake that can't happen, couple this with AP fumble before the half in the red zone, and Harvin's fumble to give the ball to NO inside the 10 are mistakes that can't be discredited. AP's TO's were brutal and should be talked about just as much as Brett's INT's, on the other one that should have been a personal foul for hitting low.

The guy is a great competitor and fun to watch. Is he the best ever, no, but somebody I would gladly take on my team as he appears to play the game for the pure joy of it, and to WIN.

Right on point JR. Couldn't have said it better. KOD, resprect you stuff man but maybe you know something i don't know about the guy? I feel #4 stands tall to his critcs and plays the game like a kid, makes the players around him play better. I'm so tired of the Randy Moss's of the league with born talent but have the work ethic of an ant. With so many targets in the league, low life thugs, and over paid cry baby's, I really don't understand the dislike for #4.

You're post mentions a millionaire that doesn't have to work anymore. Is that the issue, I mean he didn't have to work before coming back either. LIke I said you may know him better than I but I just don't see it.

Good luck on the big game.
