Not yet, but I do recommend a documentary called The Bridge.
"People suffer largely unnoticed while the rest of the world goes about its business. This is a documentary exploration of the mythic beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge, the most popular suicide destination in the world, and those drawn by its call. Steel and his crew filmed the bridge during daylight hours from two separate locations for all of 2004, recording most of the two dozen deaths in that year (and preventing several others). They also taped interviews with friends, families and witnesses, who recount in sorrowful detail stories of struggles with depression, substance abuse and mental illness. Raises questions about suicide, mental illness and civic responsibility as well as the filmmaker's relationship to his fraught and complicated material. "

A more faithful remake of the original series probably would have dealt with a Canadian and an American police officer solving these crimes (and indeed FX's original plan was to set the series around Ambassador Bridge connecting Detroit with Windsor, Ontario), but perhaps the pulpy possibilities and wealth of underexplored social tensions offered by the U.S.'s southern border and a need to distance the series from AMC's remake of "The Killing" in setting and color palate made the change unavoidable.

Oh there's no humor in The Bridge, it's violent and brutal and fuckin great.
The Bridge last year was awesome....great story,great acting...didn't realize 2nd season started...
Snafu....where can you see the foreign version? Not on Netflex....
Also not sure who in MJ's recommended " Rectify". But that was great.. Season 2 just started....and someone else here in MJ's recommended " Jake"..the australian series...I watched season 1 on Netflex but they don't have season 2 or 3 on Netflix...not sure how to get those...anyway thank you who ever you are that put me on those shows...

If you use computer and chrome: install "hola better internet" app to chrome browsers apps and you can choose what netflix you watch. Original The Bridge aka "Bron" is available in british netflix, just use chrome+hola and log in.
