This game is a true mismatch.....Marquis has not allowed more than 3 ER in any of his last six starts, which means he has been giving some true quality starts. After the last time Marquis pitched against the Padres and lost 2-1, Pujols was quoted "We have been letting down Jason lately next time we will pick him up." IMO Valdez seems like the perfect candidate to light up. He is coming back from an injury and only pitched 3 innings in his last rain shortened start....he should be a little green tonight. Adding to the Marlins problems is no Delgado tonight. Marquis hardly gives up home runs and it's going to be difficult for the Marlins to play small ball against the Cards.
