OK, here is the situation; two days ago my wife and I left the house to take one of the dogs to dog training, she left her Cell Phone on the kitchen counter (We both recall seeing it there when we returned). We got home and made dinner, then I got ready to go play softball, and she was going to call a friend of hers to she if she was going to the game, but could not find her phone.

Fast forward two days later and the phone is still missing, obviously one of us moved it at some point but do not remember doing it. To make matters worse, my new phone is on order, and when we try and find it with the house phone we cannot hear it anywhere. She says the volume was on 2 or 3 of 5 volume, but if it is lying face down somewhere on the speaker, you would not here it virtually anywhere.

We have called it 50 times or more, standing in different spots around the house, taken the couch cushions off, checked all the crevases of the couch, looked in the dogs room, checked all trash cans, beds, underneath everything, in cabinets, outside the house, etc...etc...etc...

She even held both dogs while I called on the home phone (ludicrous I know, the phone is much to big for one of them to swallow, but to apease her, I did it)...

Nothing, Nothing, Nothing.... It is a new phone but does not have GPS, and I have searched everywhere for two days  and come up with nothing...

Anyone have any ideas on finding the phone or lost a phone in a similar incident and found it someplace weird???

We can still call the phone and it rings several times before the voicemail picks up, so the battery has not died yet, I am sure it will very soon though..

I really don't wan't to have to go out and buy her a new one since I just got a new one and she has only had hers for two months...

Any ideas  :00x32 :00x33

Actually, similar thing occurred to my future wife yesterday. Have a new pit bull mix terrior puppy and lo and behold, trying to call her while on the road and no answer. Just got a new maid service for the house and was seeing how they did. No answer for 3 hours. I knew she was home from the O.R. as a nurse, still no answer.

Turns out, our pup took her phone and hid it in a bush outside, tried burying it, and got it in halfway, enough that she could hear it ring luckily while outside watching the dog. True story. She will confirm at the golf outing. Follow your dog or look for fresh dug dirt. kurby :mj23:

Good luck.

This is what happen to me one time and i hope this isnt your case but im just trying to say be careful. One time i went in a store in NE east philly did my thing and headed to work. I couldn't find my cell phone anywhere. Im calling it, nothing. A day later someone calls my mom (this made me changed her name on the phone so no one knows its my mom because of this) tells them they have my phone and gives my mom a number. I give the guy a call and he wants me to meet him somewhere. I say bud how about leaving it at a store near you because i couldn't make it when he wanted me to. He wouldn't do it and now im starting to get pissed off. I know this asshole went in my car and grabbed it plus where he said he found it was a crock of crap. Im steaming but not letting him know. I didn't have much time so i asked a buddy to go with me and hide in the car but he couldn't. I know i was being set up and by some scumbag and what was really pissing me off is the thought that this could be a young girl being set up and not knowing any better. This was making me madder than losing the phone so i went alone. This neighborhood was a nightmare with all abandon houses so i left and hung out at a store until i saw a cop. I asked the cop (a woman) if she would just go with me. She actually said a lot of people who commit crimes run into that section and she wouldn't go. I couldn't believe she was scared and she had the gun. Like I said the way especially young girls are with cell's now adays, like they are life in death, might have walked right into this trap, being afraid of what her father would say to her knowing she lost her phone. Hopefully everything works out for you.

Maybe you could call the phone company and find out the last call made from the cell phone....it may jog your memory to where you were when you made the call.

I think cell phones emit some kind of electronic/radio waves of some sort. That's why "they" say you will get brain cancer from them if constantly in use.

There may exist some tool or meter of some sort to pick up these waves. Could help in locating the phone no matter were it is.

or

Find a phone psychic.

The Caper has been solved :00hour

Apparently my wife did take it to Petsmart last week, and the trainer put it in a cabinet there for the last 7 days, a lot of aggrevation, but at least we got the phone back and the house cleaned up...

Not to change the subject, but Petsmart has the worse training ever. Enough with the freakin treats and the clicker. It was worthless for my blacklab.
