Gonna try to cut back on the size of the posts.. just getting to be too muckin futch with the footballers and all.
Plays actually aren't that hot for today. Now, yesterday was a different story; there were FIVE playable races and some huge fields. More about that at the bottom of this.
I hope the entries are better tomorrow, boring races today. Since I went ahead a figured them out, I might as well post what I got. Woulda posted yesterday but I figured the MJers had enough of horses on Fri. and Sat. Thinking that might be the case for today too but lets see if there's any interest around here and I'll decide about posting tomorrow.
5th Walkathon
Man, a better use for these nags would be for the filler for McDonald's to use in their hamburgers. Go get a beer just before they are off and you'll still see them come down the stretch when you come back. The nos. 6 and 9 are the only ones that have a hint of being a racehorse. Put a price with them...
Zactas No. 4 (10-1 M.L) top/bot with 6,9.
6th Race
Zacks - 7,9 t/b 6,8 AND ... no. 2 and 10 to WIN, only. Could go heavier on the no. 10 even though a 7 furlong race would suit him better.
7th Race
It's a stretch to call this race playable. Worser yet, the play requires more than 2 stinkin dollar tickets to make it worthwhile. Anyways, this is what I will probably play... No. 2 t/b with 5,7
9th Race
I worked on this race UNTIL I got to the no. 6 hoss. This one ruined the whole thing cause she's a money burner... Mooch/Guererro connections.. if she's right she moiders em. Of course she'll get bet
Problem is that there are a couple too many others that are priced right (for me/us, that is) and if she comes in with one of them - the price will get killed. This race IS a No Play.
Stuff to bore yas, but I like "reminiscing" LOL
I knew better than post anything yesterday and I think I was right about that too. Had 5 playable races and even if there was somebody around (NOT a PT, an MJer) I think they woulda gave up checking my picks cause I lost the FIRST 3 races I played. OF COURSE, after anybody around would have exited, I caught both exactas in the last 2 races I played and the last race was the most satisfying - picked two hosses (3 and 4) and did the usual, wheel one t/b and play the other a little heavy Win/Place/Show @2x. Both were decent prices and thems finished 1st and 2nd. The point is - think about betting like this when you come up with ONLY 2 picks in a race.... and DON'T FORCE yourself to only find two hosses when you start handicapping the race. They gotta come up "naturally". Well, that's my method anyways.
CLEARLY the luck is sticking with me.. the other zacta I hit scored when they disqualified the 2nd place hoss (I didn't have that one) and put my hoss up (oh yeeeah) who was 16-1 and zacta paid $189.60 .. .. yeah a BC style payoff. That play was a the zacta type -> a,b top/bot with c,d,e.
Not making any points from this one.. just bragging.
Hope we/me find something better for tomorrow.
