UAB?s offensive line was terrific in pass protection against Miami ? for the most part, considering who it was going against ? and it needs to get physical in a hurry.

UAB starting QB Tyler Johnston is out with a shoulder injury, and redshirt freshman Bryson Lucero is coming off a 4-of-12 day against Miami.

On the other side, can South Alabama get its running game going? It hasn?t been anything special so far, and it failed to do much in the loss to Tulane, but UAB?s defensive front got ripped to shreds in the 31-14 loss to Miami a few weeks ago.

It?ll be too easy, though, for the Jaguars to move the ball through this air, with the combination of Kawaan Baker and Jalen Tolbert good enough to push a UAB secondary that isn?t giving up a whole lot deep so far, but hasn?t been stretched yet.

Once again, South Alabama will be pesky.

The lines have been solid so far, and the passing game will be good enough to balance out what should be a good day on the ground. However, the UAB defensive line is about to eat.

College football odds Week 5: Opening lines & odds movement

Quarterback Bo Nix and Auburn travel to Georgia for a big Southeastern Conference game Saturday. The host Bulldogs opened -6.5 at FanDuel and briefly went to -7.5 before returning to -6.5.

College football odds for Week 5 are on the betting board and already getting action, once again dominated by Big 12 and SEC games. The biggest battle comes from the latter of those two conferences, with No. 7 Auburn at No. 4 Georgia under the Saturday night lights.

FanDuel Sportsbook provided insights on college football Week 5 opening lines, early line movement, sharp money and public betting for this week's matchups.

College football Week 5 odds

These are the current College football Week 5 odds for the premier games on the schedule, as of September 28.

South Carolina at (3) Florida odds

Opening line
Florida -17.5, Over/Under 55.5

Why the line moved
Both the line and the total were on the move quickly at FanDuel. The Gators stretched to -19.5, although early point-spread betting was two-way, with 54 percent of tickets and 56 percent of dollars on Florida. The total is up 3 points to 58.5, and although there's surely not much money in the pot yet, the Over is taking 96 percent of tickets and 89 percent of money.

Opening line
North Carolina -11.5, Over/Under 54.5

Why the line moved
The Tar Heels initially dropped to -10.5 at FanDuel on Sunday, but by Monday had sprinted to -13.5, with 83 percent of bets and 88 percent of cash on North Carolina. The first move on the total was down to 53.5, and it went back to 54.5 Monday afternoon on two-way action: 54 percent of bets on the Over, 54 percent of money on the Under.


Missouri at (20) Tennessee odds

Opening line
Tennessee -10.5, Over/Under 48.5

Why the line moved
Tennessee was up to -11.5 Monday, but there's more early support for double-digit-'dog Missouri. The Vols were landing 62 percent of tickets, but the Tigers were attracting 66 percent of money.


Virginia at (1) Clemson odds

Opening line
Clemson -27.5, Over/Under 55.5

Why the line moved
The Tigers toggled between -27.5 and -28.5 a few times at FanDuel on Sunday and Monday, ultimately settling at the opener Monday afternoon. It's two-way play early, with Clemson getting 51 percent of bets and 58 percent of money. And it appears there's some sharp play on the Under, with the total going from 55.5 to 54.5, despite nine of every 10 tickets and dollars on the Over.


(16) Oklahoma at Iowa State Odds

Opening line
Oklahoma State -8, Over/Under 62.5

Why the line moved
The Sooners are still trying to get the license plate of the truck that ran them over last weekend, when they lost outright to Kansas State 38-35 as hefty 28-point home favorites. Perhaps not surprisingly, this line was already down to Oklahoma -6.5 Monday night, even though 95 percent of tickets and 77 percent of money were on the Sooners.


TCU at (9) Texas Odds

Opening line
Texas -13.5, Over/Under 60.5

Why the line moved
Texas dipped a full point to -12.5 late Monday night at FanDuel, but the betting splits don't really tell that story, as 73 percent of tickets and 97 percent of early cash were on the Longhorns. The first move on the total was from 60.5 to 61.5, also late Monday night.


(13) Texas A&M at (2) Alabama odds

Opening line
Alabama -16.5, Over/Under 53.5

Why the line moved
This line bounced around quite a bit Sunday and Monday at FanDuel, first to 'Bama -17.5, then down to -15.5, then back to the opener Monday evening. But it's all Crimson Tide on early action, with 84 percent of bets and 87 percent of money falling on the favorite. The Over was taking 71 percent of bets and 63 percent of money early, but the total dropped a point to 52.5.


Ole Miss at Kentucky odds

Opening line
Kentucky -6.5, Over/Under 58.5

Why the line moved
The line at FanDuel didn't move through Monday night, although Mississippi is attracting 72 percent of tickets and 66 percent of money in early spread betting. Conversely, the total was very much on the move, up 3 points to 61.5, with 90 percent of early bets and 99 percent of early money on the Over.

Opening line
Georgia -6.5, Over/Under 43.5

Why the line moved
The Bulldogs went to -7.5 for about an hour Monday at FanDuel, before reverting to the opening number. That dial-back was likely a product of early action favoring the visiting Tigers, who were taking 64 percent of bets and 74 percent of dollars. The total was up a point to 44.5 by Monday afternoon, with the Over tallying 87 percent of tickets and 84 percent of money.

Why the line moved
