carry on gw. OBama is a terrorist. He is not nearly as smart as you and he hates America. He is not even a real citizen. You and the thinkers have it all figured out. Good work.

Glad you're finally coming around, throw your Yes We Can bumper sticker in the trash.

TIA.

Do you think it's any coincidence that the only administration that ever decided it was important to hide the war dead - which is exactly what they were doing - was the Bush administration? It was never made an issue of negativity until the administration decided it was not in "our country's" best interest to allow parents to decide what is right for themselves. The representatives from the military think its the right thing to do, many families feel that it is a way to recognize and honor the fallen heroes - but only the past administration and it's continuing apologists to make the issue something else entirely - purely for political gain and posturing. It was never an issue - ever - until the Bush administration made it one.

You can continue to blame Obama, the liberal press, whomever. That is not an accurate representation of the situation, but that's never stopped you before. It's much easier to hide the real cost of the decisions you make - like the war dead and the financial cost of war in budgets, etc. And there will always be fanatics and freaks who make issues out of things - good and bad. Most people who care about the soldiers and country won't do much more than feel bad for them and their families, and honor them when seeing a flag draped coffin. In my mind it's unpatriotic to hide them - and it was being done for a reason, IMO.

on diff note of commander and chief--

I usually don't watch a lot of pres presentations but was curious to see approach of O today on his iraq presentation to Marines at north carolina.

If you get a chance to see video later--it is well worth.

note expression or lack thereof on Marines faces--he did get a genuine smill and applause at end when he said he would raise their pay. :)

Speech was on courage-sacrifice and tenacity to win--with short portion to people in Iraq and how we stood beside them and would continue to do so. I'm not joking.

Only thing that could have topped it off if Pelosi-Reid and Murtha were forced to attend --wearing their can't win-we lost-coold blooded killers-buttons to accompany O's surge can't work.

With that rant out of the way--I will say I like o's plan "now" on withdrawing--off course mayby because its same as last admin. :)

oh by the way--O ended speach with "Semper Fi" (always faithful) again-no joke :SIB

I do not understand why you think that would be inappropriate.

I am sure you have some weird twisted reason that will make no sense.

That speech DTB talks about was done nicely. O Talked about health care for vets and help for familys when was one is over seas. And applause interupted him 8 times not once or twice. Of course biggest was when pay increase was mentioned. About time all this is done.

Taxing Issue

Several appointments by President Obama have gotten into hot water for a variety of tax-related issues. Well, the state of Georgia is having similar problems with its state legislators.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution points to a new Georgia Department of Revenue report showing that 19 lawmakers have failed to pay state and federal income taxes ? some dating back to 2002. The Georgia House Ethics Committee chairman says, "Leaders of both parties have made it clear this will not be tolerated."

The bbc rope-a-dope :142smilie

I just pulled the only video I could find. I thought maybe we could actually hear from the soldiers instead of your perception of what the soldiers were thinking and since you've already said that AP is starting to get tired of the hope/change rhetoric, I thought that you wouldn't mind their views.

Feel free to post the whole speech when you have time.

In the meantime - here's another whitey for you

I'm tired of Bobbys rope-a-dope also, but that's for another thread.

Can I please ask where Barry is retreating from or who he is surrendering to?

Bush's admin signed a deal with the Iraqi 'government' to leave Iraq. So we are finally leaving. Barry is putting more troops in Afghanistan.

What are you even talking about?
