what about that briles guy from baylor?

IE - I personally put Briles and ole Gus Malzahn as future "Kelly" type coaches. They just win wherever they go. One thing about coaching, you cannot fake winning every place you go.

The problem with big money here is they are scared to death of letting Hart go after someone like that. From what I hear, Hart is high on Al Golden, and if that happens; there will be season ticket holders (what few are left) very upset.

Yeah . . . when he was at Grand Valley State. That's probably at the level they should be looking.

Relevance in one season makes you humble I guess.

I still hope he wins it just so I can keep going on the radio every week and say, "Remember when I got cursed out because they didn't hire Brian Kelly?"

We're talking about Tennessee. Notre Dame's win/loss record has nothing to do with me being a dick.

After being through so many coaching changes, I enjoy watching other fan bases go through it. It's awesome. Watching the fans try and decide between Saban, Gruden and Kelly, when in fact it's. . . .well, let's see how it plays out.

I can attest to this. Even when the Irish aren?t doing well, BBC is just as much of a smug nuisance. Well, I can?t vouch for the five days George O?Leary was coach for the Irish. He was MIA during that time. Some were genuinely concerned for his well-being. Others just didn?t want to have to take over his clients.

why in the hell would Jimbo want to go to Auburn when he has made at FSU and playing in the ACC

dont think he wants to go against his mentor in state right now :nono:

going to be a VERY interesting off season :0074

Apparently from what I have read and heard he has made very few friends in Tallahassee, this includes big wigs and alums alike. When you have plenty of money and other opportunities you don't have to put up with being unhappy(assuming he is). He marches to the beat of his own drummer, and if the pay is right I could see it happening.

As a side not, and I am not nearly as "tapped" into the "inside" information as skipper, but some close to Mark Richt are saying they would not be surprised to see him walk away next year. Not going to get into specifics (after all just speculation), but if true it makes sense and if anyone could walk away it is him.

I tell you what BBC - I will go head's up for $100 that Jon Gruden will be named the next head coach at The University of Tennessee.

FACT - David Cutcliffe was NEVER a candidate, and if you are dumb enough to actually think ANY Vol fan even glanced at that article, then you are dumber than I think.

You want that bet smartass:shrug:

:popcorn2

You have until the end of the week to take me up on it.

I know, I actually don't mind him. He's ok in my book, although it will be interesting to see if he has a pair and takes my bet.

No inside information, I just hear things:toast:

I think Richt has said many times that he could walk away at any time to do missionary work right? Would love to see him get to handle to crystal one time. Good man:0074

Probably old news now but on the sports news last night Gruben has been offered the Arkansas job and reportedly he is lining assistance coaches up

The speculation is more health related(not necessarily him), but yes I could see that as well.

Gruden would do great and if I were a Vols fan I would be chomping at the bit to get him. Tenn needs a big personality as well as someone that can get players to the NFL in order to get the out of state kids they have to to be successful. He seems to be a perfect fit. GL
