My guys won the central last year and are "projected" to do it AGAIN !!!
I feel they should play out "close" to last season ........
Starting pitching will be a problem (on the back-end of the rotation) ...... Carp. & Wain. will get their share ..........
Cards need to stay healthy to repeat ........ :thumb:
Offensively ........ Birds are very solid ..... Molina has progressed very well, Schumaker sets the table well and has some speed ........ Pujols / Holliday will be LETHAL ....... Ludwick does yeoman work ...... Rasmuss will improve his numbers this year ........ I'd take .275 from Ryan, a spirited competitor, ...........
My biggest concern ..... the "hot corner" ........ it's on the table for FREESE (.294 spring was encouraging) ....... the way Tony keeps the guys fresh though, I L@@K for Felipe Lopez to see lots of action (another lefty bat that we need) .............
Just a decent bench ..... A.Craig ..... Not that familiar with ----- Mather has some pop, as does Stavinhoa, ...... LaRue's a solid back-up for Molina, who is ???? early ........
DEFENSIVELY CARDS are rock solid ......... I HOPE!!!
The bullpen will be GOOD again from the portside with Reyes & T.MILLER ........... righty's have to CONTINUE to show improvement ....... McClellan and Motte especially !!!
I don't see Franklin being as TOUGH in the CLOSER'S role ...... but, I hope he surprises ! :Yep:
That's my crystal ball version ........ 87-75 .... would be a contender .........
