AR- Jane left in Episode 9. She was drunk and pissed off (imagine that!) and said something about how the direction of the camp makes her sick and that it was time to ride out of town, and she left. I have no idea if she'll be back next season or not, but I for one am hoping she is.
As for the finale, I just saw it this afternoon as well. This show kicks some serious ass, and the last show didn't disappoint one bit.
A few observations:
-Knowing the actual history of the town has its downpoints. I knew Bullock was the town sheriff so when they were talking about it over the last two episodes, I knew it was just a matter of time until he took over. Also, I'm sure most of us knew what happened with Wild Bill, but a viewer that knew nothing about him had to have been completely stunned when he got clipped so early, being that he was a major player in the first month.
-I was glad to see Bullock hook up with Alma. The feelings the two had for each other was pretty obvious, but the way he went after her dad and beat the piss out of him, you could tell that even with his "wife and son" on their way out, those two would end up getting together because she totally had his heart. Was it common back then to claim your sister-in-law and nephew as your wife/son if your brother died? I find that strange, but that was a long, long time ago.
-Finally, as all regular viewers know, Swearingen is the man. Just love that guy. Curious what will happen next year between him and Tolliver, who is obviously trying to undermine him by having his worker "express himself" in public about the incident with the the opium and Wu.
Just a great, great show.
