salisbury steak and Schlereth both said Reggie Bush is best college football player they've ever seen ....

im not going to argue, he changes games like i said earlier, shaq effect, and he has def. won usc 5 games in 2 years; It will be intriguing how they replace him as to how it FX usc streak ... I have posted like comments about the phenom b4 but ...

nice to see others stepping up and saying how great this kid is, unlike a few on here that seem to find cause to pooh-pooh him

go reggie, got him 3/1 for trophy :)

had him 20/1 LY

happy holidays

He is a fine player, a great player, but please dont base any assessment on what the ESPN idiots say. Those are the last people with credibility or expertise on anything.

You know Reggie Bush is something special if he can strike the Heisman pose while playing in a game. Forget doing the Heisman pose after a TD, he does it during the game!!!!!

pic

Amazing player! Small chance he comes back for another year. Maybe 1%? :) He might need shoulder surgery and him and Carroll been talking about him coming back and being the best player EVER to play CFB. He easily accomplishes that if he comes back next year. All USC players are having blast and they are all aware the NFL isn't fun. Mike Williams spoke to team letting them know. Carson Palmer too even though Palmer is having great success. Palmer told everyone to stay! 1% chance!

To answer the question, how does USC replace Bush, Lendale White is good start! White said as of right now, he wants to come back and win Heisman Trophy!!!!! The nation will see White is just as dominating as Bush but does it differently. Power instead of highlights. USC will physically try and wear down opponents and involve playaction a lot more next year. IMO, if White comes back, USC might win NC. If White doesn't, USC prob. loses 2 games.

All in all, you can't replace Bush. He truly is the once in a decade type player. Too bad Adrian Peterson didn't come to USC. He be the star next year! He was VERY close to coming. He would be the best answer to replace Bush!

Speaking of Mike Williams, is he really that slow? OMG. Unhook the plow buddy. Was he faster in college or was the game speed in college more suited for his game. Those teams that passed him over look pretty smart right now.

But, he would be a pretty damn good receiving tight end if he chose that route.

I think the year off hurt him along with poor QB he is playing with. Williams is a physical possesion type WR. He also is immature and not ready to go to NFL. He only played 2 years at USC, then sat out entire year 3, then is expected to produce in year 1 of NFL? Tough to ask for. He regrets it every day not staying at USC. $$$ isn't worth it to leave CFB. NFL just isn't fun.

I be surprised if he didn't have a good year next season. If he doesn't, he would make an excellent TE. But Lions already have good TE. Why did they draft Williams? :banghead:

All in all, I have not seen a more dominating "college" WR than Mike Williams while watching CFB (in my short time). He did this being only a freshman and sophomore. Imagine him being a junior and senior. Stupid FL HC Zook told Williams he can't play WR but only TE at FL. Carroll told him (while playing 1 on 1 basketball) he be great WR at USC that he loved his athleticism on the basketball court. USC got Williams. Zook eventually gets fired and Carroll wins BCS bowl games. FL's loss was USC's gain.

This is what exactly everyone is talking about Scott. Reggie Bush is the topic of what the Espn gurus said and you turn it into what Carroll saw in Mike Williams on the basketball court and how Palmer came back to USC and showed the team his weenie and let them rub it for good luck.

Tell your friends about these fascinating stories.......Or better yet in you spare time start a, I'm in love with USC tight pants website and tell your adventures there.

By the way, how big is Carson's weenie?....not for me...a girl I know wants to know........teee hee

Funniest post EVER!!!!!! Kudos dice, you have earned my respect for some time.

Scott, I am going to save that L White comment and it will come back and haunt you. He is a very good strong back I agree. But when their are 3 people on the line because all the lbs and dbs are watching the corners for Bush. White hasn't been touched in the past 3 games lol. He could walk on his hands through those holes.

Another thing, to say Mike Williams is the greatest WR in college FB?!?!?!?! Are you outta your mind? Maybe, he is best wide reciever in your short time of watching SC you should have said.

i definitely have to put reggie bush right up there in the top 3 college football players of the last 10-12 years, with the others being marshall faulk and peter warrick. this is all subjective opinion, but faulk and warrick were two guys who, like reggie bush, gave you the feeling that they were going to score or do something special every time they touched the football. heres hoping bush turns out to be more like faulk in the pros and less like warrick. personally, i think bush a cant-miss. but warrick was pretty close to cant-miss as well, and there are some similarities between the two (undersized, double as punt returners, etc). but i dont see how bush will not be a stud pro.

as for mike williams, id take the consistency of dwayne jarrett over mike williams any day. ive already touched on this with scott, but mike williams cant hold a candle to the ass of keyshawn johnson as far as being the best receiver out of southern cal.

i do, however, agree with scott about lendale white. he doesnt get half the credit he deserves for being a monster of a college back. and he's built to play in the nfl right now. he will be a terrific pro.

So GMan Lendale White is great, but USC would lose several games without Bush? That seems to be the media spin. Of course Salisbury beinbg a USC alum I am sure has nothing to do with his views.

i know what you mean. listerning to salisbury makes you just want to bash your head against a wall. bush is a game-changer, but the most they'd have w/o him is one loss (fresno). but they'd survive w/o him. they're just that much better with him. i'd go so far as to say usc could survice losing bush more than notre dame could survive quinn or texas young. different positions, but thats the point. especially when they've got white, the trojans would be pretty much in the same position w/o him, no matter how great reggie is (and he is great)

LOL - Obviously you didn't watch the ND/USC game. R. Bush absolutely won that game for USC. He had three amazing touchdowns and he was the only person ND couldn't stop. IF Bush didn't play that game they would have lost.

On the college level, IMO Mike Williams was the best WR to play at USC. He did this as a freshman and sophomore. But that will soon change. USC freshman WR Patrick Turner will be the best ever to play at USC. Coaches say he is a lot better than Williams and Jarret. That says a lot. He might be big story in Rose Bowl against Texas because there is not much gamefilm to study on him for Texas.

I never understood why you were not a Mike Williams fan. There was never a DB who could defend him on the college level. As a freshman, Williams 3rd or 4th game he played @Kansas St. Highly touted NEWSOME (now on cowboys) was defending Williams. Williams got open ALL day on Newsome. Unfortunately, he dropped 5 passes that hit his chest. Only game in Williams carreer where he dropped multiple passes. UGLY!

i do, however, agree with scott about lendale white. he doesnt get half the credit he deserves for being a monster of a college back. and he's built to play in the nfl right now. he will be a terrific pro.

White is USC all time TD leader and he did this in 3 years of play. You are right he doesn't get the credit he deserves.

You are right that USC could continue success without Bush. USC wouldn't get the 50+ yard plays, but they would get 5-10 yard plays. More methodical long drives. White is a bruiser, he needs carries. Sharing time with Bush takes away a lot of what he brings to the table. White is the classic type of back that gets better as game goes on and demoralizes defenses. My X-Mas wish is he comes back because I don't like USC's chances of running the table without White. :(

People will say look at Reggies 50 yard plays and game winning plays etc. But with White as feature RB, games would be completely different but maybe the same end result. What would happen if you gave White the ball 25+ times in a game. You look at the highlights of Bush and say, what would USC do without Bush. Well, what would the results be giving the ball to White 25+ times in meaningful minutes. I know for one thing USC defense would benefit! :)

2 games USC prob. would lose for sure without Bush was @V-Tech and @ND. Those were IMO Bush's 2 best games as a Trojan.
