Don't take this the wrong way Hammer, and you know I have appreciated all the winners, but isn't the purpose of this whole exercise to FADE THE FADE ??? If we start picking and choosing when to follow and when to fade, I suspect that we will destroy the beautiful karma that we have going here.

Started following Smokes plays a few days ago..
Went with all his plays today except KCity
Cincy pitcher just been too good.
Thats the same thing i do with all the fades go against them unless while i'm in a Crack induced stupor feel i am a lil smarter. So if Arizona wins u can all rag on me tomorrow!!

As well as Smoke is doing................i think i can pick the one or two plays a day that i think i'm, a hair smarter on.and takin' nothing away from his stuff. Been amazing. My hats off to him!!

Ill let him pick th 8 games ..all i have to do is pick one.

Seattle has won 8 of its last 10.
Arizona is 3-18 their last 21.
Seattle has won 4-of last 5 with Hernandez.
Edgar Gonzales has a team record of 0-12 in the last 12 starts
This goes back to 2003 i think...............If Arizona was winning at least 50% of their starts i would think about it. They have been a disaster since the Jason Grimsley thing. I know i played on em once after that ...been fading em since....so i'm just continuing to do what Ive been doing.....fade Zona!!!!

But what the hell do i know anyway!!!!

Several reasons. First, according to the monitoring sites, a huge percentage of the public is on Seattle tonight. Second, based on an informal polling of this site and at least one other similar site, virtually all posters were on Seattle as well. Third, many of the scamdicappers (including that thief Stu Feiner) were giving out the Mariners tonight. Fourth, I personally think that Felix Hernandez is eminently hittable. Last, but certainly not least, I have noticed over the years that 7 to 5 road favorites (translating to -135 or -140 on the dime line) fail to cover at an alarming rate. Happened today with the Brewers and Cubs this afternoon. Those are my reasons.

if the public was all over Pedro, and the scamdicappers (like Stuey) were giving out Pedro (as the "obvious" play) and the Mets were a 7 to 5 favorite on the road, yes, I probably would take Towers. I can't help it man, I am a contrarian/fade bettor. Which is precisely why I love fading THE Fade.

In any event, good luck tonight. Either me and a couple of brave souls will be right, or the hundreds and hundreds of people on the Mariners will be. All I know is, I won't find out who wins until I get on the treadmill tomorrow morning and watch the 5:00 am Sportscenter.
