I will be on the Indians tonight given their motivation and edge on the mound. Justin Masterson is having a career year at 13-9 with a 3.59 ERA and 1.190 WHIP over 26 starts. Plus, Masterson is 3-0 with a 1.94 ERA in eight career starts against Los Angeles.
Jerome Williams is one of the worst starters in the big leagues. He has gone 4-9 with a 5.55 ERA and 1.510 WHIP over 18 starts, including 1-7 with a 6.40 ERA and 1.599 WHIP in 10 home starts. Williams also sports a 6.35 ERA in his one career start against Cleveland.
Williams is 1-11 (-11.5 Units) against the money line in the second half of the season over the last 2 seasons. Masterson is 9-1 (+8.3 Units) against the money line after 2 or more consecutive wins this season.
The Indians are 8-1 in Masterson's last 9 starts vs. a team with a losing record. Cleveland is 7-1 in Masterson's last 8 starts as a road favorite. The Angels are 1-8 in their last 9 home games. Los Angeles is 2-14 in Williams' last 16 starts with the total set at 7.0-8.5. Bet the Indians Wednesday
