Why do the French make things so easy for me?

Have you heard this one?

Never mind that France wanted nothing to do with getting rid of Saddam and wants everything to do with rebuilding Iraq after Saddam. Here's the kicker: France says Britain and the U.S. should not have a role -- it's up to the United Nations to decide.

So, let me see if I've got this right. France offered not one soldier, not one plane, not one tank, or ship, convoy or grenade. Not one missile. Not one drop of blood. And yet, France is going to decide the new Iraq?

Well pardon me, Pepe, but I don't think so.

I don't know what amazes me more: How callous the French are, or how arrogant they are. People are still dying in Iraq and they are already tripping over their corpses to cash in on Iraq?

France couldn't lift a hand to a rifle to help us, but is more than willing to go for a few of their precious Euros to screw us?

We fight and die to free a people whose suffering you more than happily ignored. And they saunter in to set up shop so that they can merrily profit?

Please tell me the French word for chutzpa!

France schemes to sell brie, after we've given blood?

France plots business storms, while our guys are choking in sandstorms?

France notifies the world they're ready to do deals, while we have servicemen in this country notifying families of killed soldiers they're ready to do funerals?

What the French lack in guts, they more than make up for in nerve.

France wouldn't help the Iraqi people when they needed rescuing, but is more than willing to dive in and take the money because maybe France needs rescuing.

The French are as morally bankrupt as I hope soon they will be financially bankrupt.

Pity the poor country that calls you a friend and realizes the hand it's holding, is only digging for spare change.

The French think absolutely about nothing but themselves. They only threaten veto because of their oil rights in Iraq and it is the same now. With all this talk of veto in the UN. If they care so much about Iraq WHERE is all their humanitarian aid at, now and before the war.

We have interests also in Iraq and who doesn't. Oil makes thhe world go around, but at the same time we are getting rid of an evil dictaor who has performed atrosities on mankind( let alone his own people ) the we have not seen since Hitler. AND if any of you think that this asshole hasn't helped terrorist in some form. YOU are living in dream world.

I ask this question of some of you who think Iraq doesn't deserve this: What would of happened if Saddam DID have nukes, which I believe he has said was his biggest mistake not having them when he invaded Kuwait, when he did invade Kuwait and had his sights on Saudi Arabia?

The only thing I wish is that we found some very cheap, eco- friendly fuel so we could just say OK assholes do what you want over there. Then the same people on this board who believe we shouldn't be there would be posting we should be over there helping out our poor fellow man in need.

no you have it all wrong....the US is the greedy one....we are the evil bought off by all the oil companies and business country....and WE are the arrogant ones....you and i should be forced to live in extreme poverty and give up our cars because they guzzle gas, our money because the gov't deserves it -- to give to the people who do not work, work 2 jobs because we cant make ends meet with the taxes we pay -- income, sales, property, etc......heck we shouldn't even be able to claim a piece of land our own -- after all, we have to pay rent to the government for it!!!! (property tax)......and for SURE we should NEVER EVER question the elitist left because if we do think that we should not have to pay so much taxes we are greedy and arrogant for thinking that we should be allowed to have more $$ than the guy who doesn't work!!!! And if we ARE a business, we should not be able to hire and fire who we want....we should let the employee tell us how to manage him/her and NOW we can barely ask the employee any "personal" questions before we DO hire them!!! they show up for the interview, you almost HAVE to hire them!!!! And US sovereignty???? What is that????.....THAT, my friends, is the REAL agenda of these utopian, anti-american marxists....

i lmao when i hear the french refer to us as arrogant....if that isn't the pot calling the kettle black i dont know what is....

Lived and studied in France and the French are unique indeed. They will not use any invention, no matter what. They will take something, change it a little, and then introduce it into the country so that it is "French". They will let people suffer with medical problems because they will not use technology other than thiers. It was a very unique experience. I studied business there, and they had all the same classes except they don't teach or have advertising.....hmmm. Also, even ten years ago, there was a deep resentment for Americans, but all of there clothes were jeans and shirts that had america or said america in some sort of garish manner that no one here would think about wearing. They idolize and resent at the same time. A man came to speak at our class who was liberated in WW2, he was brought to tears. The French college students LAUGHED at him and humiliated him for his deep emotion about the US. I have never seen anything like it in my life........

It boils down to the same thing all over the world, they all idolize America but also resent it.

England, u.k.
The way I hear it over this side of the pond is that, France, Germany, and Russia who all opposed the war and were willing to "vito" anything that was put to the U.N. will although still being part of the U.N. have no person sitting on any decision making role in Iraq. The coalition forces will at first have this positions and hand over to delegates of the U.N.
Knowing your great Nation, that means no roles / jobs, it is only the British who will relinquish their posts due to European pressure.

As one American said, "The only thing France did for this war was to drive a wedge between countries within the U.N., so if their desparate for a role within Iraq after the people have rid of the scum Sadaam Hussain, then they can clear the crap and rubbish up" :Yep: :thumb:  :drinky: :toast:

The next time I go to France I will give the first French man I see one of these. :nutkick
