i have to say...i try to think independently on important topics,but,i` have really lost what little objectivity i have regarding the french.....they wouldn`t let us fly over their airspace to get libya and kadafi after that disco bombing.....they step on our toes at every turn.....they just plain hate america and americans....we have to face that.....they really are not our allies.....and just look at THEIR foreign policies for the last 75-100 years.......

I think part of it is just that the French have the same arrogance about their culture that the American's have. Each feels that their culture is the best in the world. Two big egos clash pretty hard, just as they do on an individual level.

I think at this point the French oppose the resolution just for the sake of opposing it; stubborness.
