Utah sacked Alabama"s John Parker Wilson 8 times in 30 passing attempts..........Florida sacked JPW 1 time in 22 attempts..........

For anyone taking Florida that has to be a concern........if Bradford is allowed to sit back there with time he will pick the Gators apart.......

Now I am not trying to compare Utah defense to Florida but its kinda strange to me that Utah was able to get sacks that Florida couldnt..........where was all that Florida team speed vs Alabama........

John Parker Wilson is not really a very fast guy........

Trying to justify anything by what happened in a meaningless bowl game is just silliness. Heck or even judging game to game - anybody thinking in hoops Harvard would beat North Carolina at Chapel Hill by 20 plus?

FLorida's defense is far from great. OUs defense is far from good. OU has a very good Dline and the back 7 is not strong at all. With a solid run/pass miz, a running QB and all that speed, Florida will only be stopped by stopping themselves. Florida's D likely wont have alot of answers for OU but OU is likely to be more one dimensional which always makes the task easier. And let's face it - Big Game Bob has been a big January bust for quite awhile now. Edge to meyer.

Did Florida decide to give up on QB sacks in that game vs Alabama????

defintely agree with you.....not taking anything away from utah, bama was in a flat spot entering that game because their dream of an undefeated season & the top spot in the rankings went down the drain with their lost to fla....

Exactly. The phsychological ebb & flow, particularly in college, has to be accounted for imo. Bama was not ready for reasons you stated, plus Bama was w/o the best lineman in the nation. BTW, I expect Bama to be down again next season with key losses at OL and breaking in a new QB.

I played Florida -3, but am rooting for Okie in hopes that a Florida loss can help LSU in their battle with the Gators on a key recruit! That, and Okie+3.5 will win a bowl pool for me.

It was obvious bama did not care about that game and it was Utah's superbowl
