What if, and IMO it is a BIG if...
Ohio State loses...
...should Boise State be considered as National Champs or at least co-National Champs?
All they did was run the table on their schedule and win a BCS bowl game. They do come from a BCS conference, it would be hard to argue against it if the Buckeyes were to lose. Why should Florida be national champs w/ one loss if they were to win?
All I know, and I haven't made any play on the game yet but I will admit that I do lean to Ohio State because of coaching, is that I would LOVE for OSU to lose strictly on the principle that it would send the BCS into a tailspin and perhaps college football could nullify their contract w/ the stupid BCS kind of like the NBA did w/ the synthetic ball. It is rather unlikely I know, but if OSU wins it will really bail out the BCS.
What more can BSU do then what they did? If OSU loses and BSU isn't at least a shared national champion, then the system's flaws will be magnified 10-fold. Perhaps that is a good thing though.
