OKay, so the guy at the local book wearing the polyester shorts and mismatched socks had Seattle and Minnesota as his top plays last night. I fell into the trap of listening to "my buddy" on the Wolves pick. But this time, we're going strictly contrarian.

Mr. Polyester Shorts like the Cavs tonight. He figures in a game between two shit teams, he'll take the 3 points. After all, Cavs coming off the San Antonio upset should beat a Hawks team that got hammered by Seattle at home in it's last game, right?

My play:

ATLANTA -3 vs. CLEVELAND (BEST BET)
This is a classic "zig zag" game where one team played it's heart out in the last game (Cavs upset Spurs) and the other got humiliated at home (Hawks were never in the game versus Seattle). I am figuring that Hawks were fatigued from the long trip and now have had an extra day to get back into a normal cycle. With a Saturday night home crowd, (I'm convinced referees favor weekend home teams with favorable calls) and the Hawks motivated tonight versus a team they think they can clearly beat, I suspect the will cover this number. Atlanta has absolutely dominated this series in recent years, going 18-6 ATS since 1996. Cavs are 6-12 ATS as a dog in the next game coming off a win. Cavs are 5-15 ATS in next game after covering the line by 10+ Hawks are 12-7 SU coming off a loss -- including &-1 ATS as a home favorite coming off a home loss! Playing the Hawks.

If the Hawks lose, I guess I'll have to go out and buy some polyester shorts let my sideburns grow and join the club.

You don't need to buy any Nolan, I've got a whole dresser drawer full of 'em....mostly plaid. They don't fit me anymore. By the way, I really like Cleveland in this one. ;)

LOL........

Okay send me whatcha got.

Need at least a 46 waist. I'd appreciate it if you would throw in a white belt, as well.

Good luck with your Cavs ticket. Make sure the fridge is stocked full of sixpacks of Milwaukee's Best.

Clev 1 days rest *****6-15 SU & 9-11 ATS, pts for 92.0 pts against 98.2, TTL = 190.2
Atl 2 days rest 4-6 SU & 5-5 ATS, pts for 93.2 pts against 99.9, TTL = 193.1

Clev 6-6 ATS vs sub 500 teams away
****Atl 6-3 ATS vs sub 500 teams home

Clev is 5-3 SU last 8 games, but they have faced 6 teams w/ winning records (1 game vs Orl w/o T Mac), 2 w/ losing records ---- 3 games away
Atl is 4-4 SU last 8 games, but they have faced 6 teams w/ winning records, 2 w/ losing records --**********6 games away.

*****************Atl has had ONLY 3 home games out of their last 13 games & they have not had back to back home games since Jan 19th ? ATL SHOULD BE PUMPED **********************

***********ATL is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings.

I pulled the trigger on the ATL, Nolan. I need to get a new wardrobe. Maybe this is the first step. I found that white belt if you still need it.....
