I never new this had got so much attention. If I only watched Fox I would know nothing. Today over 40000 are marching in this little town for the what is criminal injustice they believe Happened. But only place im getting any coverage is CNN, NBC, CBS and the web. Where's good old fair and balanced at. You would think this would be right up Fox's alley.

Apparently the noose thing created a divide. Whenever a kid of one color was outnumbered he was being ganged up on by the other side. Both sides were attacking each other.
I think any kids responsible for any attacks should be prosecuted. I think the cause of debate was the sentence first handed down. Perhaps it was excessive.

i don't think in Newark they have trees that only white people are allowed to sit under. These type of trees are only in one part of the country. Next to the confederate flags they love to fly. Just because someone put a noose in a tree doesn't give another man the right to use violence. I think 2nd degree attempted murder is a little much unless there was a good chance of him dying. He should get some punishment and there is no way that he should be set free. He and others need to learn that there are always alternatives to violence. Put him in jail for his crimes and he will learn a valuable lesson. Violence doesn't pay!

Enough guilt to go around on both sides--I think the protest was big mistake--they made it a tv event after that--Had they simply spent the money to get all concerned adaquate legal representation and let it play out--it would have been much better--next you'll have the klan there

No, I'm not racist. As a matter of fact I'm in an interracial relationship. Yes the noose was WRONG but violence WASN'T the answer. That's common sense and anyone with half a brain or more would understand that. There are other ways to bring the noose in the tree act to justice. Violence is never the answer and they should pay for what they've done! I'm sure they will. If they would've been smart they should've taken their case to the media (like it is now) and they would've got justice that way. Again, violence is NEVER the answer.
