Rose with the dribble drive is tough to stop.I don't care how good the KU gds are.These guys will penetrate and attack KU.Advantage Memphis.
Front court...Most give KU the adv but Dorsey and Dozier are a force inside and are so athletic.KU has more depth there with 4 guys inter changing inside.I think they have the edge inside although many disagree.
Memphis has a better transition game,doesn't play sloppy with the ball.KU has trouble with turnovers vs NC despite blowing them away.KU defense is solid but Memphis defense cannot be forgotton.This team strives on defense.I still will not forget when Memphis beat Siena 102-58 and Siena star guard was talking after the game. They asked him what most impressed you about Memphis.And he said " there defense,they were in your face with a 45 pt lead,no room to move,denying the ball,contesting every shot,etc. Memphis has done that to everyone...and many are saying this will be the best team Memphis goes up against..and I agree...but this will be the best team KU will face also.Comparing common opponents doesn't mean to much tonite.But I keep seeing Memphis just destroy Texas and KU split with them.
Rose is the best player out there.Put Douglas-Roberts at his side and KU's lateral defense gets penetrated...
I see Memphis winning by 8-10 pts.Calipari has played with these guys heads all year as the underdog.Memphis has played better in each game..they have heard it all year...weak schedule,poor conf,can't shoot FT's etc...Chalmers and Robinson will have there hands full,Arthur,Rush etc will meet some stronger greyhounds then they are...
and KU will have a tough time stopping Derek Rose who will probaly be playing his last game in college..
