"the bunker"
nancy:
“We came in friendship, hope, and determined that the road to Damascus is a road to peace,” Ms. Pelosi grandly declared.

washington post:
""Never mind that that statement is ludicrous: As any diplomat with knowledge of the region could have told Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Assad is a corrupt thug whose overriding priority at the moment is not peace with Israel but heading off U.N. charges that he orchestrated the murder of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri. The really striking development here is the attempt by a Democratic congressional leader to substitute her own foreign policy for that of a sitting Republican president. Two weeks ago Ms. Pelosi rammed legislation through the House of Representatives that would strip Mr. Bush of his authority as commander in chief to manage troop movements in Iraq. Now she is attempting to introduce a new Middle East policy that directly conflicts with that of the president. We have found much to criticize in Mr. Bush’s military strategy and regional diplomacy. But Ms. Pelosi’s attempt to establish a shadow presidency is not only counterproductive, it is foolish""

wheee doggies....

if only nancy could have had a face to face with hitler.....

No mention of message given to Syria from Israel. That was given to Pelosi to deliver. No pissing and moaning about the Reb's that visit Syria 3 months ago. And no mention of the three Reb's that were along with Pelosi's group on this trip.

Unlike Ronnie Raygun and Donald Duck Rumsfeld when they were shaking hands and meeting with a guy named, let me see, I think it was Sadam Hussein back in the 80's. I hear he unfortunately met his demise recently. Natural causes.

Funny how Pelosi meeting with the Syrians (as opposed to the cowboy approach of bombing the shit out of them) is oh so terrrible. I assume she's giving them Czechoslokia. Yet, when Ronnie and Donnie met with Hussein that was good politics.

I guess Sadamm was an eagle scout in the 80's.

Only one I found that praised her was Carter--surprising he stuck his head out with 13 days comparision to 444 days in lime light.

I'm telling ya GW--shes the gift that just keeps giving-- :)

I do have to give her credit--her district is finally doing something on immigration--The liberal group CARECEN is using 1.5 million of tax payors money for DVD's to show illegals how to avoid capture-

edward..not to nitpick...but i believe reagan was president...and rummy was his special envoy to the middle east....

last time i checked the speaker of the house does not make foreign policy.....

i`ll say this for her...she had some excellent ideas to present to the syrians....

i heard she suggested midnight basketball....

"One terror leader, Khaled Al-Batch, a militant and a spokesman for Islamic Jihad, expressed hope Pelosi would continue winning elections".....

now theres an endorsement for ya`...

Gary:

Although it can't be proved (and you know that) I will bet you a dime to a dollar that your basic Islamic fundamentalist crazies (Osama et al.) oh so love your boy Bush and his similarly nuts administration. You see my tunnel visioned friend, the people who blow up builidings want someone in the white house who will polarize and alienate the moderate Muslims.

Remember how the world felt about us on 9-12. We could have accomplished so much against terrorism with the world on our side. We would have rooted out these scum and no terrorist supporting nation would have dared stood up to a united world.

Yep, that psycho in the white house watched too many cowboys movies when he was a kid. He's responsible for killing a lot of innocent Americans in the future. I like your philosophy of blow em up instead of negotiating.

Reflects your intellectual depth. When will you learn that you can't kill off 2 billion people. Do ya think ya might be creating terrorists in the future? Duh.

(Picture Eddie holding hands with brown, white, black, yellow, gays, lesbos, transvestites and Boy George singing, "We are the World.")

you mean with the world on our side like in the "oil for food"boondoggle?......:D

..."the willingness by some lawmakers to talk with Syria is proof of the importance of the resistance against the US. The Americans know and understand they are losing in Iraq and the Middle East and that their only chance to survive is to reduce hostilities with Arab countries and with Islam. Islam is the new giant of the world,“ he said.

hmmm?

it occurs to me that if something is praised by the islamic facists it is not something that is good for me....

a simple piece of logic that eludes a huge percentage of the free (for now) world.....(and the litigation lobby)....;)

i`d just like to cross partisan lines in saying,"thanks, nancy"....for setting female democratic reformers in syria back years in trying to release themselves from the yoke of oppression....

edward...i never figured you for a misogynist...

Gare:

Aren't we making some leaps on those assumptions regarding the lot of female Syrians? But nice change of topic anyway. You think Pelosi is supporting mistreatment of Syrian women? Now that makes sense. Pelosi is a chauvenistic pig.

Don't you think we might want to start talking to those who we disagree with? I mean blowing them up didn't work did it. So, based on your edit, it appears your solution to the problems in the Middle East is to wipe them out.

Herr Gary, that didn't work either. How do you plan on taking out 2 billion Muslims? Showers? Gary G. Gardenweasel. G. stand for genocide?

well, edward,it should come as no surprise that terrorists love appeasers......the terrorists know that they can achieve even more of their objectives by carrying out their missions....those quotes i posted make it abundantly clear....

syria supports and condones terrorists...hizbullah and hamas` leadership is firmly entrenched in damascus and gets their marching orders, equipment, and weapons from assad and his minions...who basically gets his orders from iran...

pelosi did incalculable damage to not only american foreign policy, but to countries struggling to deal with islamic terrorists.....

try reading this again....

""Abu Abdullah, a leader of Hamas’ military wing in the Gaza Strip, said the willingness by some lawmakers to talk with Syria “is proof of the importance of the resistance against the US. ”The Americans know and understand they are losing in Iraq and the Middle East and that their only chance to survive is to reduce hostilities with Arab countries and with Islam. Islam is the new giant of the world,“"" he said.

they see pelosi's visit as a sign of american defeat on a grand scale......islam is now the new giant of the world and the americans know their only chance for survival is to appease it?......

how do you even approach such a delusional mentality?.....any attempt is taken as a sign of weakness if not total defeat....

i`ll say this....it is encouraging that nancy follows in the grand liberal appeaser`s tradition of wearing the appropriate headgear for all occasions....

As I said, apparently you advocate the complete extermination of the Jews, err, excuse me, Muslims. You see Pelosi going to Syria as a sign of defeat.

Gare, I hate to break this to you, but we lost the war in Iraq. I know, I know, its the fault of the democrats in Congress who voted in favor of the invasion, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Billie Carter, Lyndon Johnson, Ladie Bird Johnson, John Kennedy, Judith Exner and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

So again, your solution is genocide. My solution is negotiation. You know, its that intellectual vs. non-intellectual approach to problem resolution. I didn't realize negotiation meant appeasement. I always thought it was using your brain.

Oh well, maybe we could give away Crawford, Texas (or for that matter the whole state of Texas) in exchange for peace. Now thats not a bad idea.

Eddie

1)a freudian slip?.....or just your slip showing?...

yes..."THEY DO" advocate the extermination of the jews...an ally...a democracy....and do not recognize israel`s right to exist.....

yes, they would love for us to turn our backs on our friends and allies...isn`t that a tenet in the democratic/liberal manifesto?...

and kissing the ring of assad(fresh off the assassination of lebanese leader hariri)?....

dupe with a capital "d"...

2)why am i not surprised at this statement?...no response necessary...

another little goody...

CHANDIGARH, India (Reuters) - ""Tibetan officials in exile in India have stepped up security for the Dalai Lama following media reports that he faced threats from Islamist militants, police said on Thursday"".......

i guess the islamists have taken about as much "humiliation" as they can handle from this tyrant.....

you want us to make nice with those that want to smite the insidious, always dangerous dalai lama?.....

someone should take your granola away....

As you know, I'm referring to your solution to the Muslim problem. You, like your soul brother Wayne, have a wonderful ability to:

1) change subjects in mid-thread, and

2) put words in peoples mouths (or on the monitor) which they did not say.

Not all Muslims are anti-Zionist. Besides that, whats so bad about being an anti-Zionist. Hell, who gave the UN the right to create Israel anyway.

Palestinians have rights too, dude. Do I want to make nice with fundamentalist Islamic wacko's? No. I'd love to get rid of them. However, your boy in DC and your party have guaranteed that Islamic fundamentalists will flourish.

Yep, cowboy mentality vs. intellectuals. A fine mess you've gotten us into, Ollie.

1)2)...those are old shyster tricks aren`t they?.....

i know...i know....you don`t think we should get our knickers in a twist over "a few"testy islamists......lol

nobody said "all muslims".....just the regimes that are terrorist supporting...open state sponsors of terror or regimes that destabilize the region....

edward....bubby.....we know where you and meemee stand...somewhere between chamberlain and degaulle in 1938... when they met with hitler and agreed to let him have the sudetenland in exchange for hitler's statement "i have no more territorial demands to make in europe". ....

they meant well,i`m sure....but,you know what they say about good intentions...

you`re a tad out there,too...

you`re the "don quixote" of madjacks...descending into your little utopian fantast world...

maybe spongy could be your "sancho panza"?...

but, we love you...
